During the week of October 22-26, 2007, the nation will be rocked by the biggest conservative campus protest ever – Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses.

The purpose of this protest is as simple as it is crucial: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the war on terror and that Global Warming is a greater danger to Americans than the terrorist threat. Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point this out. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear.

In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves. According to the academic left, anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the war on terror is an “Islamophobe.” According to the academic left, the Islamo-fascists hate us not because we are tolerant and free, but because we are “oppressors.”

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country.

The LONG TERM goal of jihad is world domination – a global Islamic state under Islamic law. Jihad is not, as some Western apologists claim, simply a striving for individual perfection. Rather, jihad is an expansionist totalitarian ideology that seeks to establish a global Islamic state ruled by Islamic law, or sharia. Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s chief henchman said in the summer of 2006: “Jihad seeks the liberation of Palestine, the entire country of Palestine and to liberate every land that used to be a territory of Islam, from Spain to Iraq.”

The jihad’s IMMEDIATE Objective is “Death to America.” “America,” declared Al-Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Gheith, “is the head of heresy in our modern world, and [as a result] . . . we have the right to kill 4 million Americans — 2 million of them children — and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons.” The Saudi Sheikh Nasser ibn Hamed gives an even higher figure for appropriate American deaths: “If a bomb was dropped on them [i.e. the Americans] that would annihilate 10 million and burn their lands to the same extent that they burned the Muslim lands – this is permissible….”

The ideology of the Islamists whose ranks today include not only al-Qaeda but also Hamas and Hezbollah – originated with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoon) founded in 1928 by Sheikh Hassan al-Banna. And the Muslim Brotherhood finds not just its roots, but much of its symbolism, terminology, and political priorities deep within the heart of Nazi fascism.

The long legacy of Arab and Palestinian Nazism, and the Hitlerite themes of lebensraum, ethnic cleansing and genocide, continue to echo in the Middle East today. Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah, said of the Jews after the Lebanon war of 2006: “If they gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them nationwide.” Mahmoud Zahar, Hamas Foreign Minister, says: “I dream of hanging a huge map of the world on the wall at my Gaza home which does not show Israel on it.” And most chillingly, Ali Akabar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former President of Iran, looks ahead to the next holocaust and final solution: “The use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam.”

Osama Bin Laden tunes in to the radio to hear American news broadcasts of the event. “They were overjoyed when the first plane hit the building,” he said on a video later obtained by American forces, talking about others listening with him that day. “So I said to them: Be patient.” He said, “At the end of the newscast, they reported that a plane just hit the World Trade Center.” “Allah be praised,” replied one of the other men in the videotape.

Witnesses reported seeing people jumping from the towers just before they collapsed.

1800 EDT – Iraq announces the attacks are the fruit of “U.S. crimes against humanity” in an official announcement on state television.

2030 EDT – President Bush addresses the nation, saying “thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil” and asks for prayers for the families and friends of Tuesday’s victims. “These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve,” he says. The president says the U.S. government will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed the acts and those who harbor them.

2330 EDT – Before sleeping, President Bush enters into his diary: “The Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place today.”

“I was ordered to fight all men until they say, ‘There is no god but Allah.’ ” With these farewell words, the prophet Muhammad summed up the international vision of the faith he brought to the world. As a universal religion, Islam envisages a global political order in which all humankind will live under Muslim rule as either believers or subject communities. In order to achieve this goal, it is incumbent on all free, male, adult Muslims to carry out an uncompromising “struggle in the path of Allah,” or jihad. As the 14th-century historian and philosopher Abdel Rahman ibn Khaldun wrote, “In the Muslim community, the jihad is a religious duty because of the universalism of the Islamic mission and the obligation [to convert] everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.”

It was not coincidence that Osama bin Laden echoed these words in his glee after September 11: “I was ordered to fight the people until they say there is no god but Allah and his prophet is Muhammad.”

Bernard Lewis, a leading scholar of Islamist rage, places the fault line at the failure of the Muslim world to keep up with the West in the modern world. Diminishing Muslim power is both a humiliation and in Muslim minds a reversal of divine law, driving the losers to pick through the verses of the Koran to find justification for violence against winners. For many centuries Islam was the greatest civilization on Earth — the richest, the most powerful, the most creative in every significant field of human endeavor. Its armies, its teachers and its traders were advancing on every front in Asia, in Africa, in Europe, bringing, as they saw it, civilization and religion to the infidel barbarians who lived beyond the Muslim frontier. And then everything changed, and Muslims, instead of invading and dominating Christendom, were invaded and dominated by Christian powers. The resulting frustration and anger at what seemed to them a reversal of both natural and divine law have been growing for centuries, and have reached a climax in our own time.

Other scholars blame Western colonialism and imperialism, along with Judeo-Christian traditions, as contributing to the violent mentality of the extremists.

But there’s another, more correct, view. “The Middle East’s experience is the culmination of long-existing indigenous trends, passions, and patterns of behavior, first and foremost the region’s millenarian imperial tradition,” writes Efraim Karsh. “External influences, however potent, have played only a secondary role, constituting neither the primary force behind the Middle East’s political development nor the main cause of its notorious volatility.”

As a historical matter, the birth of Islam was inextricably linked with empire. Unlike Christianity and the Christian kingdoms that once existed under or alongside it, Islam has never distinguished between temporal and religious powers, which were combined in the person of Muhammad. Having fled from his hometown of Mecca to Medina in 622 c.e. to become a political and military leader rather than a private preacher, Muhammad spent the last ten years of his life fighting to unify Arabia under his rule. Indeed, he devised the concept of jihad shortly after his migration to Medina as a means of enticing his local followers to raid Meccan caravans. Had it not been for his sudden death, he probably would have expanded his reign well beyond the peninsula.

Islamic history has been anything but reactive. From Muhammad to the Ottomans, the story of Islam has been the story of the rise and fall of an often astonishing imperial aggressiveness and, no less important, of never quiescent imperial dreams. Even as these dreams have repeatedly frustrated any possibility for the peaceful social and political development of the Arab-Muslim world, they have given rise to no less repeated fantasies of revenge and restoration and to murderous efforts to transform fantasy into fact. If, today, America is reviled in the Muslim world, it is not because of its specific policies but because, as the preeminent world power, it blocks the final realization of this same age-old dream of regaining, in Zawahiri’s words, the “lost glory” of the caliphate. Islam is not a religion of peace and co-existance, and never has been. Islam has always been a cult of death bent on world domination.

Muhammad proselytized with violence and used violence to consolidate conquest. Occupying territory was as important as converting or killing unbelievers. When the Jews of Medina resisted Muhammad in the 7th century, he beheaded the men and sold their women and children into slavery – actions completely opposite of another Middle East prophet – Jesus. Muhammad, who claimed to derive his power and authority from Allah, was not only head of the captured states but was the single religious authority. “This allowed the prophet to cloak political ambitions with a religious aura,” writes Mr. Karsh, “and to channel Islam’s energies into its instrument of aggressive expansion.” The ultimate goal would be for the world either to embrace Islam or live under its domination – a goal still envisioned today.

And this vision is not confined to a tiny extremist fringe. This we saw in the overwhelming support for the 9/11 attacks throughout the Arab and Islamic worlds, in the admiring evocations of bin Laden’s murderous acts during the crisis over the Danish cartoons, and in such recent findings as the poll indicating significant reservoirs of sympathy among Muslims in Britain for the “feelings and motives” of the suicide bombers who attacked London last July. In the historical imagination of many Muslims and Arabs, bin Laden represents nothing short of the new incarnation of Saladin, defeater of the Crusaders and conqueror of Jerusalem. In this sense, the House of Islam’s war for world mastery is a traditional, indeed venerable, quest that is far from over.

What the people who blew up little schoolgirls and shot nuns in the back fear is not that the US is going to permanently occupy Iraq. They fear that we’re going to permanently change Iraq and the hearts and minds of its citizens – the Islamists’ cannon fodder.

Some analysts now see a new “axis of Islam” arising in the Middle East, uniting Hizballah, Hamas, Iran, Syria, the Muslim Brotherhood, elements of Iraq’s Shiites, and others in an anti-American, anti-Israel alliance backed by Russia.

As one of the Islamic fanatics who inspired al-Qa’eda said: “We are not trying to negotiate with you. We are trying to destroy you.” The Islamic terrorists who destroyed the World Trade Center, those who bombed Bali, and whoever it was in Spain who demonstrated a comparable appetite for indiscriminate killing, do not have specific political goals. They wish to destroy the whole basis of Western society – secular democracy, individual liberty, equality before the law, toleration, and pluralism – and replace it with a theocracy based on a perverted and dogmatic interpretation of the Koran. That is why the suggestion that we should try to negotiate with such terrorists is so fatuous: there is nothing whatever to negotiate about.

the attack on the World Trade Center in New York in February 1993, with six killed and more than a thousand injured the attack on the American liaison mission in Riyadh in November 1995, with seven Americans killed the attack on the military living quarters in Khobar in Saudi Arabia in June 1996, with 19 American soldiers killed and many more wounded the embassies in East Africa in 1998 the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen in October 2000, with 17 sailors killed

All the above brought only angry but empty words and, at most, a few misdirected missiles. The conclusion bin Laden and others drew was that the United States had become feeble and frightened and incapable of responding. The crimes of Sept. 11 were the result of this perception and were intended to be the opening salvo of a large-scale campaign to force Americans and their allies out of Arabia and the rest of the Muslim world, to overthrow the corrupt tyrants America supports, and to prepare the ground for the final world struggle. You choose whether you will roll over and play dead, or defend your freedom and liberty against tyrany.

The fuel of Islamic imperialism remains as volatile as ever, and is very far from having burned itself out. To deny its force is the height of ignorance and blindness, and to imagine that it can be appeased or deflected is to play into its hands (Europe, are you listening?). Only when it is defeated, and when the faith of Islam is no longer a tool of Islamic political ambition, will the inhabitants of Muslim lands, and the rest of the world, be able to look forward to a future less burdened by Saladins and their gory dreams.

Today I’m focusing on Islamists.

Anyone remember these from five years ago? It’s almost impossible to find them “live” online anymore after being purged by Islam’s apologists.

The US did not deserve 9/11. Says New York Governor George Pataki:

The date Sept. 11 will forever evoke in the hearts and minds of all Americans’ recollections of unimaginable tragedy, of lives callously and brutally cut short, of unspeakable horror and sorrow. And that is as it should be – we must never forget the depths of inhumanity to which terrorist fanatics are willing to sink in the name of their depraved cause, and we must never lose sight of why we were attacked.

It had nothing to do, as some would have us believe, with what America had done wrong. It had everything to do with what America does right; living by and insisting on the principles of freedom and democracy on which this great nation was founded, guaranteeing every citizen freedom of religion, freedom to assemble, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press.

To religious fanatics bent on killing those who worship differently, to fundamentalist zealots committed so fervently to hatred, oppression and tyranny, our freedom represents the ultimate threat. That is why we were attacked, and that is why each Sept. 11, we Americans should, even as we remember the devastation and heartbreak, take pause to appreciate and recommit ourselves to the freedom that is at the heart of our American nation.

This is also a great time to listen to the words of Dr. Rusty Shackleford:

9/11 was not a tragedy. A tragedy happens by mistake or because of natural forces. A tsunamai is a tragedy. A car accident is a tragedy.

9/11 was an attrocity. Attrocicities are committed. An attrocity is the result of planned action.

Islamic extremists murdered American citizens on a mass scale on 9/11. It was premeditated action.

Bush and Clinton did not murder almsot 3,000 people on September 11, 2001. Muslim terrorists did.

Whatever the pre-9/11 failings were, these were not the result of Clinton or Bush. They were the result of a mindset. That mindset was of treating terrorism as a law enforcement problem and not part of a war.

The terrorists declared war on us, and we, in return, wanted to serve the terrorists a subpoena.

Yet look at the pictures below, the faces of those that celebrated the massacre of 9/11. Look and see Evil. This is Islamofascism.

So it’s important to remember the events leading up to and including 9/11.

ITEM 1: Omar Ahmad is the founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). He had been the chairman of CAIR‘s board of directors since its founding in 1994, but stepped down from that position in May, 2005.

On July 4, 1998, the San Ramon Valley Herald reported on a public address by Ahmad at a conference on the subject of “How Should We as Muslims Live in America?” 1998, or 2 years before Bush became President – so Ahmad’s statements cannot be viewed as something “President Bush caused or created.” The article reported Ahmad’s remarks as follows:

Muslim institutions, schools and economic power should be strengthened in America. Those who stay in America, he said, “should be open to society without melting (into it),” keeping mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam, he said. “If you choose to live here (in America) … you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam, he said.” Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant, he said. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth, he said.

ITEM 2: Anyone remember Osama bin Ladin‘s Fatwah against the US? As far as I know this command has not been recended and is still valid today. Seeing how this fatwa came during the Clinton administration it can hardly be “Bush’s fault” as so many want to paint the conflict between militant Islam and the US.

The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies–civilians and military–is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it. This is in accordance with the words of Almighty God, “and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together,” and “fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God.” We — with God’s help — call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God’s order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan’s U.S. troops and the devil’s supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson. ITEM 3: What about Bosnia?

After the breakup of Communist Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina was torn apart by a civil war between Bosnians (Bosnian Muslims), Serbs, and Croats from 1992 to 1995. The war resulted in the deaths of many thousands of persons and the displacement and impoverishment of large parts of the population. A desperate Bosnian-dominated Bosnian government, facing an international arms embargo and outgunned by breakaway Bosnian Serb forces, accepted the help of Iran, as well as several thousand Islamic radicals, mercenaries, and others. The 1995 Dayton Peace Accords, which ended the conflict, required all foreign forces to leave Bosnia.

Most did, but some Islamic radicals remained behind. It is estimated that several hundred former fighters stayed behind in Bosnia after the war and became Bosnian citizens by marrying Bosnian women. Others reportedly received citizenship through bribing Bosnian officials. Some Al Qaeda operatives in Bosnia reportedly had connections to members of Bosnia’s intelligence service, another legacy of Bosnian wartime cooperation with Islamic militants. The experience of the Bosnia conflict has also had an impact on terrorist groups worldwide. Bin Laden and other Al Qaeda figures mention the Bosnian war as a place where Al Qaeda was active, and as an important militant Islamic cause. Terrorist recruiting videos often include footage of combat in Bosnia.

In addition to fighters, Bosnians also received assistance during and after the war from Islamic charities and humanitarian organizations, many of them from Saudi Arabia. Some of these groups served as fronts for Al Qaeda, which used them for planning attacks in Bosnia and elsewhere. In the view of one observer, Saudi Arabia built mosques at which some extremist foreign and Bosnian clerics continue to preach hatred of the United States and Western countries, which may enhance terrorist recruiting efforts.

ITEM 4: Instability in Albania gave a foothold to Al Qaeda in the 1990s. Poor internal security, lax border controls, and high rates of crime produced an environment conducive to terrorist activity. Some foreign Islamic extremists used Albania as a safe haven and gained Albanian citizenship. Some former Albanian officials were thought to maintain links with these foreign extremists. Islamic non-governmental organizations, some of them fronts for Al Qaeda, were established in Albania after the collapse of the Communist regime in 1991. The situation worsened during civil unrest in Albania in 1997, when central authority broke down and large military weapons stocks were looted. Wars in neighboring Kosovo in 1999 and Macedonia in 2001 also had a negative impact on Albania’s stability.

Terrorist threats in the middle and late 1990s caused the temporary closure of the U.S. embassy in Albania and the cancellation of planned visits to Albania by senior U.S. officials. In 1998, Albania and the United States foiled a planned attack on the U.S. embassy in Tirana, raided an Al Qaeda forgery ring, and arrested several Al Qaeda figures.12 Since the September 11, 2001 attacks, some media sources and political leaders from Serbia have alleged that ethnic Albanian “terrorists” continue to maintain links with Islamic terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda.

In 2004, Albania announced the discovery of chemical weapons stocks acquired by the Communist regime in Albania during the 1970s. Albanian officials had not known of their existence until they were discovered by accident in a bunker. Although this cache is now guarded, it had been unguarded during the disorder of the 1990s. Moreover, due to a lack of documentation by the former regime, it is uncertain if there are other unreported stocks. Experts have expressed concern that some of these potentially could have fallen into the hands of terrorists.

ITEM 5: A nitrourea bomb, in excess of 1,000 pounds, with hydrogen cylinders to add impact, was detonated in the now-infamous yellow Ryder Econoline van on the B-2 level of the parking garage of the World Trade Towers in February 1993, causing massive destruction that spanned seven levels, six below grade. The L-shaped blast crater on B-2 at its maximum measured 130 feet wide by 150 feet long. Six people died and 1,042 were injured.

On March 3, a type-written communication was received at the New York Times. The communique claimed responsibility for the bombing of the World Trade Center in the name of Allah.

ITEM 6: The USS Cole (DDG 67) was attacked in the port of Aden, Yemen, on October 12, 2000. 17 young lives were taken. The attack, organized by Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda terrorist organization, was carried out by suicide bombers Ibrahim al-Thawr and Abdullah al-Misawa.

ITEM 7: Pan Am Flight 103, a Boeing 747-121, was destroyed as it flew over Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, when 12 to 16 oz of plastic explosive was detonated in its forward cargo hold, triggering a sequence of events that led to the rapid destruction of the aircraft. Winds of 100 knots scattered victims and debris along aN 81 mile corridor over an area of 845 square miles. The death toll was 270 people from 21 countries, including 11 people in the town of Lockerbie.

It was widely regarded as an assault on a symbol of the United States, with 189 of the victims being Americans. Indictments for murder were issued on November 13, 1991, against Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, a Libyan intelligence officer and the head of security for Libyan Arab Airlines (LAA), and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, the LAA station manager in Luqa Airport, Malta.

On December 5, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a security bulletin saying that, on December 5, a man with an Arabic accent had telephoned the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki, Finland, and had told them that a Pan Am flight from Frankfurt to the United States would be blown up within the next two weeks by someone associated with the Abu Nidal Organization. He said a Finnish woman would carry the bomb on board as an unwitting courier. The caller was off by only two days.

ITEM 8: On June 25, 1996, individuals identified as terrorist members of Hezbollah, exploded a fuel truck adjacent to Khobar Towers Building #131 in the city of Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This eight-story building housed United States Air Force personnel from the 4404th Wing, primarily from a deployed rescue squadron and deployed fighter squadron. In all, 19 U.S. servicemen and one Saudi were killed and 372 of many nationalities were wounded.

ITEM 9: The transformation of the once powerful, majestic Islamic word into fragmented, colonial, neo-colonial, or peripheral states with autocratic governments having little popular support, had a number of adverse effects, not the least of which was to foster the kinds of humiliations, powerlessness and dependencies that foster ressentiment, envy and rage.

Today, between rapid population growth, an obscene inequality generated by world globalization, and autocratic governments, there has been a general economic stagnation. In turn, the poor, the unemployed, and the educated feel thwarted and/or humiliated. They often find solace and comfort in fundamentalist mosques where they embrace politicized, purified versions of Islam. Many Muslims, finding means to transform the present blocked, turn to the “glorious past” to reclaim a glorious future, a future that manifests itself in theocratic governments, unequal treatment of women, harsh penal systems, and deplorable records on human rights.

Thus began today’s gradual rise of fundamentalism and the embrace of anti-modern religious orthodoxies – with the US being the “epicenter” of all things “modern” and also perceived to be the epicenter of all things “non-religious”. Since the US is the “Great Satan” she needs to be destroyed. Islamism is seen as a path to justice and equality against the Western ways of corruption and worship of its false gods, with Islamofascism as the vehicle to accomplish their goals. Although fundamentalism has been widely embraced in the Muslim world, and it often promotes hatred of infidels, the vast majority of fundamentalists do not become terrorists, and not all terrorists in Islamic societies are “holy warriors”. Nevertheless, the world wide rise of fundamentalism, with its division of the world into those who are good and those who are evil, with it assertions of patriarchy and promises of redemption, creates an atmosphere in which terrorism can thrive. Convert or die.

SUMMARY: All of the above happened prior to 9/11. All of the above happened prior to Bush becomming a US President. All of the above will still be here after the 5th anniversary of 9/11. All of the apologies and rationalization of Islamofascism do not take away from the fact that there are thousands of people, possibly millions, that want to see the US conquered and an Islamist state raised from its ashes. They want freedom and secularism removed and strict Sharia imposed. Whether you are liberal, isolationist, or conservative, you are not compatible with what this version of Islamic orthodoxy demands. These people are strong-willed, heavily financed, and well-armed. Neither the Deténte or the Mutually Assured Destruction philosophies of the Cold War will contain a people readily willing to sacrifice their lives to further their goals. These people are on a mission “commanded” from their god to bring the entire planet into Muhammad’s vision of one-world Islam. There is no reasoning, no logical argument, no incentives that will stop them.

The late Ayatollah Khomeini rebuked “Religion of Peace” propagandists back in 1942: “Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those (who say this) are witless.” That term would include quite a few mainstream journalists.

The first bombing of the World Trade Center happened on Bill Clinton’s watch. So did the 1998 embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania and the 2000 attack on the USS Cole in Yemen. The president’s staff — and the civil servants who worked for them — witnessed the danger of Al Qaeda close up and personally. Some even lost their lives. Washington dithered and bin Laden’s men kept burrowing deeper and deeper into their plot to attack America on its own soil. In 2001 President Bush and his newly appointed aides had ample warning, including a briefing paper titled ‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.,’ and they failed to take it seriously enough. Bush didn’t create this. Clinton didn’t create this. Soviet-American issues did not create this. Europe will not contain this. Appeasement will not stop this. Apologies will not excuse this. This is real, this is jihad, and this is happening today. 9/11 was not the first Islamofascist event, nor will it be the last. How we react to it today, though, will determine how it manifests itself tomorrow.

The last few days have not been good to the Mainstream Media. The blogosphere is catching them telling lie after lie after lie. This would be comical until you realize that most people, probably +95% of the people, never go to this extreme, in verifying the media; we assume that they’re telling us the entire unadulterated truth.

Yep, more of those Evil Jews firing their US-built weapons of war at the poor, peace-loving Lebanese.

Evidence Look at photo “A”, Reuter’s original. Those are not missiles. Traditionally missiles fired from a fighter jet actually go -faster- than the jet, not dropping behind it as the photo shows. Look at the three “missiles”, those tiny gray dots, and then look at the “fire” and “smoke trail” of the missiles. You don’t normally see the “fire” coming out of the missile’s engine magically appearing more that 50 feet behind the missile. So what, then, is the original photo showing? Those “missiles” are Flares and/or Chaff. Chaff is a cloud of small, thin bits of aluminum or plastic, which appear to be a target to enemy radar. Flares are a defensive countermeasure against heat-seeking missiles. And those tiny gray specks? Hard to say, although some with more experience in graphics manipulation are now suggesting that they’re blurred photos of unguided bombs, reduced in size, and pasted into the original. Either way they’re not missiles. Don’t take my word for it. The pictures at “B” show real examples of Chaff and Flares. The picture at “C” is a photo of an F-16 firing a real missile. Notice how the missile flies -in front- of the jet and not behind it, how the actual missile is -bigger- than a gray speck, and how the smoke trail coming out of the missile’s engine actually -does- come out of the missile’s engine. Therefore Reuters is wrong. Its photo shows an Israeli fighter jet deploying defensive countermeasures, defending itself, not firing down on anyone. If I, a simple country redneck, can see this then why can’t a seasoned war correspondant like Adnan Hajj spot this in a second? But there’s more. You see not only did Adnan Hajj want to lie about the jet firing missiles, but he also exaggerated the lie. Let’s go Photoshopping. Photo “D” is a magnification of the original Reuter’s photo. I’ve added a few colored dots to make your study a bit easier. Look at the ends of the three smoke trails. Notice how all three smoke trails “feather” and “dissipate” identically. Look at the way thick areas of the smoke trail appear at the same relative position in each of the three trails. Likewise with thin areas. All this means is that in the original photo there was only one smoke trail, but in the published photo that single trail was Copy/Pasted to make it look like there were three smoke trails. Not only did Adnan Hajj lie about this being a missile attack, but he also made it look like three missiles were fired. You are simply left with the question “why?”.

If this were an isloated case you could probably write this off as an “oops”. But it seems that Mr. Hajj has a habit of “stretching” the truth. Yedioth Internet has evidence of other altered photos by Hajj that Reuters used recently. Hajj also submitted photos from Qana that have a great deal of suspicion around them. He added “damaged buildings” and “smoke” to some photos making them look far worse. He uses the same photo of the same buildings with the same people in front of them – only moving the camera to a different angle – and posting them days and weeks apart making it appear that there is more devistation in Lebanon than really exists.

Is Reuters really this dumb? Or they a willing participant in propagating Hezbollah propaganda? Either way can you further trust anything from Reuters?

Reuters has removed all the photographs by Adnan Hajj from their news wires – all 920 photographs. They also now admit that Hajj is a Lebanese freelancer; a Lebanese freelancer – sure, couldn’t be any bias there, right? Reuters has tried so hard to create sympathy for Islamofascists for so long it’s now become second nature to them.

And don’t think this is exclusive to Reuters – they’re just dumb enough to get caught this easily. Certainly you remember CBS News, Dan Rather, and his “fake but true” documents?
