Two mentally retarded women strapped with remote-control explosives—and possibly used as unwitting suicide bombers—brought carnage Friday to two pet bazaars, killing at 73 people in the deadliest day since Washington flooded the capital with extra troops last spring.

The coordinated blasts—coming 20 minutes apart in different parts of the city—appeared to reinforce U.S. claims al-Qaida in Iraq may be increasingly desperate and running short of able-bodied men willing or available for such missions.

Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, Iraq’s chief military spokesman in Baghdad, said the women had Down syndrome and may not have known they were on suicide missions. He said the bombs were detonated by remote control.

Al Qaeda is using retarded women, women that possibly didn’t even know they were carrying bombs, to blow up markets filled with innocent people.

There is a line between being committed and using all available resources to advance your cause and being completely devoid of compassion and soul. Whoever did this, whoever planned this, whoever knew of this, whoever excuses this, is a sub-human deserving only of violent and painful death. I would have no problems whatsoever ordering a nuclear strike on their homes. I would not flinch in dropping chemical or biological munitions on their hideouts. I could face them, put a bullet between their eyes, and return to my family happily knowing I had helped the planet.

Using retarded women, maybe unwittingly, to kill innocent people. This, good people, is barbarism in its finest. Brutal, heartless, inhumane, sadistic, savage, vicious, wanton. Cutthroat, merciless, pitiless, ruthless, bloodthirsty, hateful, malevolent, malicious, cruel. Just pick a word you like best, because they all are adjectives of al Qaeda – and of radical Islam.

Of all the crimes committed by extremist Muslims, the one that is arguably the most horrifying is the act of beheading. This month, Islam Online (IOL), a website that has mass popularity throughout the Muslim world, published a gruesome poem detailing how to behead a human being. By doing this, the site has not only shined a light on its true nature, but it has, as well, called into question the motives of all groups that link to it and portray Islam Online as anything but what it truly is: a source of violent hatred.

The piece was written by Samina Malik, a 23-year-old female resident of the United Kingdom, who, this past November, was convicted of possessing documents likely to be used for terrorism under UK’s Terrorism Act 2000. Documents found on her computer included: The Mujaheddin Poisoner’s Handbook, Encyclopaedia Jihad, How To Win In Hand To Hand Combat, How To Make Bombs and Sniper Manual.

During Malik’s trial, it was reported that, on a social networking website, under the section titled ‘Favorite TV Shows,’ she wrote, “Watching videos by my Muslim brothers in Iraq, yep the beheading ones, watching video messages by Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri and other videos which show massacres of the kaffirs.” As well, it was reported that she was an admirer of Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, the now deceased ex-head of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, who is believed to be the executioner in the beheading of American Nick Berg.

Wow. So what poem did this Samina Malik write, and what poem did Islam Online publish, that was so horrible?

Samina Malik was born in Britain and grew up in the west London borough of Southall. Like many from the area, she found work at Heathrow Airport where she was a shop assistant at WH Smith.

But during her trial, prosecutors claimed Malik hid another, radicalized identity behind her everyday existence. It was an identity they said she had crafted online after becoming involved with extremist Islamist organizations.

Calling herself the Lyrical Terrorist, they said she wrote and posted poems praising Osama Bin Laden, supporting martyrdom and describing gruesome subjects like beheading. Police also told the Old Bailey they found a “library” of extreme literature in her bedroom including The Al-Qaeda Manual and The Mujahideen Poisons Handbook.

But Samina Malik is not human. She is a disease. She is a contagious and deadly disease that needs to be eradicated. She is AIDS and Ebola combined. She bathes in the blood of the innocent. She is walking Evil. She praises Islam as a Religion of Peace while cheering the death of non-Muslims. She is a cancer to civilization.

Maybe one day she will feel firsthand what a beheading feels like. But only after she is gang-raped by a pack of wild pigs.

World War I officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919 , in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles , France. However, fighting ceased seven months earlier when an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918 , is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”

In November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words: “To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…”

An Act (52 Stat. 351; 5 U. S. Code, Sec. 87a) approved May 13, 1938, made the 11th of November in each year a legal holiday – - a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated and known as “Armistice Day.” Armistice Day was primarily a day set aside to honor veterans of World War I, but in 1954, after World War II had required the greatest mobilization of soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen in the Nation’s history; after American forces had fought aggression in Korea, the 83rd Congress, at the urging of the veterans service organizations, amended the Act of 1938 by striking out the word “Armistice” and inserting in its place the word “Veterans.” With the approval of this legislation (Public Law 380) on June 1, 1954, November 11th became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.

But today I want to honor a single veteran: my son Stephen.

In high school Stephen was active in the local Marine ROTC. At the start of his senior year he decided to enlist in the Marine Corps, a decision that scared his mother and me. But we supported his decision, and just a few days after high school graduation we watched him climb aboard that fateful bus that would take him to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, SC.

There are many directions one can take in life. For the select few who commit to reaching their full potential while protecting our nation, there is the path of the United States Marine Corps. My son freely volunteered to take that path.

The Corps’ mission is to make the best Marines, win battles, and build quality citizens. They are men and women who live by a set of core values: Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

It wasn’t until after he left on that bus that I knew those same values would also have to apply to me. I would have to be strong in my commitment to Stephen. I would have to have a ton of courage as I watched him leave his home. But the honor I would have for him would come easy.

Parris Island consists of 8,095 acres, of which only 3,262 are habitable. But even that is an exaggeration. I’m not entirely sure his barracks and his training areas would be deemed “habitable” by typical civilians.

Without doubt, Marine boot camp is more challenging – both physically and mentally – than the basic training programs of any of the other military services. Every hour of every day for 13 weeks is designed for just one purpose: To make the highest quality basic U.S. Marine.

On Training Week 10 comes The Crucible. The Crucible is the 54-hour culmination to the transformation of recruit training. Day One starts at 2:00 am., and Day Three ends at 8:00 am. Recruits will travel 42 miles on foot during the event. There are 29 problem-solving exercises. The recruits will have three meals, ready-to-eat (MREs) during the 54 hours. The recruits will be required to carry ammunition cans up to 50 pounds and dummies up to 100 pounds, in addition to “782″ gear, uniform, and M16 A2 service rifle weight.

At the end of Week 12 recruits receive the Marine Corps emblem – the eagle, globe, and anchor – in front of their families and friends. My son was now a Marine. My boy was now a man.

This was around Labor Day 2001. In two weeks 9/11 would happen.

Stephen already had orders in hand. He was to report to Camp Lejeune, NC, to begin training in the Infantry (light mortar). But at the last minute he was given new orders – this time he was to report to the Marine Barracks Washington, “8th & I”, in Washington, DC. There his duties would include light infantry training, ceremonies, and Presidential support. It is a great honor to be chosen for this two-year duty. And he wouldn’t have bullets flying at him as was happening in Afghanistan.

His duties in Washington were soon over, but the Marines wanted my son to go to Southeast Asia first. He spent a year hopping islands in Southeast Asia doing training exercises and war games. Then came his fourth, and final, year of active service. Then came Afghanistan.

He would have to spend a few months in “some area” in northern California learning how to do urban assault, how to “mingle” with the locals, how to go door-to-door in villages. But at the end of the training he was deemed qualified to continue the hunt for Osama and his buddies in Afghanistan.

He hasn’t, can’t, or won’t tell me all the things that happened in his year in Afghanistan. I know that bullets were fired at him, and that he fired bullets at the enemy. It was a dreadfully long year for his mother and me. We tried to stay strong and positive for him, but it wasn’t easy, and there were many a tear shed in fear for him over the following year.

Then came anger. In early 2005 Newsweek published an article claiming that the guards at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay were flushing copies of the Quran down the toilets. The story turned out to be completely false, but the story sparked huge riots across the Middle East, with one of the most violent riots being in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, not far from Kabul – the place where my son was stationed.

Mobs smashed car and shop windows and attacked government offices, the Pakistani consulate and the offices of two U.N. agencies. Smoke billowed from the consulate and a U.N. building. More than 50 foreign aid workers were reportedly evacuated. And my hero son was placed in grave danger – all because of a false story spread by the anti-Bush crowd at Newsweek magazine. Had my son been killed because of this I would have wanted revenge, and probably the blood of a Newsweek editor or two on my hands. But my son survived – and I became more emboldened to point out liberal, anti-US, anti-military bias of major US media outlets. Newsweek, I shall never forgive what you almost did to my only son.

My hero son is now back home, his active duty in the US Marines over. He served his country with Honor, Courage, and Commitment. He did not get cheap band-aid Purple Hearts and run away from the action as did a certain current US Senator. He didn’t run off to study in Oxford, England, during a time of war as did a certain former US President. He had every option in the world and he freely chose to be a Marine. He chose to serve a country that has given him more opportunity and freedom than anywhere else in the world. He believed that we were fighting a good fight against Islamofascism. And he was blessed by God to return home alive and in one piece.

I could never have done what he did. He, more than most people, put others before himself. Everyone gets knocked down, but he got back up. He knows what the word “discipline” means. He has walked through fire without getting burned. He doesn’t have to ask if he’s ready or able. He understands that strength is more than just muscle. He understands what the word “faithful” really means. He knows that bravery is not the absence of fear, but it is the will to overcome fear. And for this he will always be much more than a son, much more than a Marine, much more than a Veteran to me. He will be a hero.

During the week of October 22-26, 2007, the nation will be rocked by the biggest conservative campus protest ever – Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses.

The purpose of this protest is as simple as it is crucial: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the war on terror and that Global Warming is a greater danger to Americans than the terrorist threat. Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point this out. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear.

In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves. According to the academic left, anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the war on terror is an “Islamophobe.” According to the academic left, the Islamo-fascists hate us not because we are tolerant and free, but because we are “oppressors.”

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country.

The LONG TERM goal of jihad is world domination – a global Islamic state under Islamic law. Jihad is not, as some Western apologists claim, simply a striving for individual perfection. Rather, jihad is an expansionist totalitarian ideology that seeks to establish a global Islamic state ruled by Islamic law, or sharia. Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s chief henchman said in the summer of 2006: “Jihad seeks the liberation of Palestine, the entire country of Palestine and to liberate every land that used to be a territory of Islam, from Spain to Iraq.”

The jihad’s IMMEDIATE Objective is “Death to America.” “America,” declared Al-Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Gheith, “is the head of heresy in our modern world, and [as a result] . . . we have the right to kill 4 million Americans — 2 million of them children — and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons.” The Saudi Sheikh Nasser ibn Hamed gives an even higher figure for appropriate American deaths: “If a bomb was dropped on them [i.e. the Americans] that would annihilate 10 million and burn their lands to the same extent that they burned the Muslim lands – this is permissible….”

The ideology of the Islamists whose ranks today include not only al-Qaeda but also Hamas and Hezbollah – originated with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoon) founded in 1928 by Sheikh Hassan al-Banna. And the Muslim Brotherhood finds not just its roots, but much of its symbolism, terminology, and political priorities deep within the heart of Nazi fascism.

The long legacy of Arab and Palestinian Nazism, and the Hitlerite themes of lebensraum, ethnic cleansing and genocide, continue to echo in the Middle East today. Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah, said of the Jews after the Lebanon war of 2006: “If they gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them nationwide.” Mahmoud Zahar, Hamas Foreign Minister, says: “I dream of hanging a huge map of the world on the wall at my Gaza home which does not show Israel on it.” And most chillingly, Ali Akabar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former President of Iran, looks ahead to the next holocaust and final solution: “The use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam.”

Osama Bin Laden tunes in to the radio to hear American news broadcasts of the event. “They were overjoyed when the first plane hit the building,” he said on a video later obtained by American forces, talking about others listening with him that day. “So I said to them: Be patient.” He said, “At the end of the newscast, they reported that a plane just hit the World Trade Center.” “Allah be praised,” replied one of the other men in the videotape.

Witnesses reported seeing people jumping from the towers just before they collapsed.

1800 EDT – Iraq announces the attacks are the fruit of “U.S. crimes against humanity” in an official announcement on state television.

2030 EDT – President Bush addresses the nation, saying “thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil” and asks for prayers for the families and friends of Tuesday’s victims. “These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve,” he says. The president says the U.S. government will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed the acts and those who harbor them.

American soldiers discovered a girls school being built north of Baghdad had become an explosives-rigged “death trap,” the U.S. military said Thursday.

The plot at the Huda Girls’ school in Tarmiya was a “sophisticated and premeditated attempt to inflict massive casualties on our most innocent victims,” military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said.

The plot was uncovered Saturday [ed: April 28], when troopers in the Salaheddin province found detonating wire across the street from the school. They picked up the wire and followed its trail, which led to the school. Once inside, they found an explosive-filled propane tank buried beneath the floor. There were artillery shells built into the ceiling and floor, and another propane tank was found, the military said.

The wire was concealed with mortar and concrete, and the propane tanks had been covered with brick and hidden underneath the floor, according to a military statement. Soldiers were able to clear the building.

“It was truly just an incredibly ugly, dirty kind of vicious killing that would have gone on here,” Caldwell said.

Iraqi contractors were responsible for building the school, which was intended to bring in hundreds of girls.

“Given the care and work put into emplacing this IED, it is likely it had been planned for a long time” and it is thought that “the IED was not intended to be set off until the building was occupied,” the military said.

But in an April 24 raid on an al-Qaeda safe house in Iraq, U.S. military officials recovered an assortment of crude drawings depicting torture methods like “blowtorch to the skin” and “eye removal,” … along with images. This documentation was declassified and released to the public.

CNN and Fox News Channel ran a few stories on the declassified material. Yet nine days since the material was released, neither ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times nor The Washington Post has run a story with the photos of this shocking evidence of al-Qaeda’s barbarism. Most of the self-righteous liberal media are deliberately silent. Why will they not show the American people what al-Qaeda is actually doing in Iraq right now? Whose side are they on?

While I didn’t expect anything to come out of the pro-Islam world media immediately, I did hope that, given a few days, something about these documents would be shown to the world. Alas, nothing. And this becomes just one more piece of evidence that the majority of the world-wide media is apologetic and sympathetic to terrorism while being almost brutal to both the US and the US military.

Al-Qaeda’s crimes are a thousand-fold more brutal than anything done by any derelict U.S. soldier. And, according to Amnesty International, the United States is one of the biggest human rights violators, not al-Qaeda. Yet it’s obvious now that the liberal media want to focus on U.S. misdeeds, and alleged misdeeds, and theoretical misdeeds instead of giving the truth to the American people.

We support the troops, and those organizations which assist the wounded in their recoveries and support the families of those who sacrificed everything.

We support leaders who support victory.

Al Qaeda has sent a message to leaders of the Democratic party that credit for the defeat of congressional Republicans belongs to the terrorists.

In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today, Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.

“The first is that you aren’t the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen — the Muslim Ummah’s vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq — are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost,” Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.

Zawahri calls on the Democrats to negotiate with him and Osama bin Laden, not others in the Islamic world who Zawahri says cannot help.

“And if you don’t refrain from the foolish American policy of backing Israel, occupying the lands of Islam and stealing the treasures of the Muslims, then await the same fate,” he said.

I’m surprised Zawahri didn’t send a “thank you” note to the Democrats and the media for doing everything they could to lose the war against the terrorists. Just think, the mainstream media, Democrats, and al Qaeda all teamed up to control this past election cycle.

Zawahri is only partially correct, though. He couldn’t have done it without the help of the NY Times, CNN, John Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.

Speaker-in-waiting Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) threw her support behind Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) for majority leader Sunday, giving a significant boost to Murtha in his race against Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.).

“Your strong voice for national security, the war on terror and Iraq provides genuine leadership for our party, and I count on you to continue to lead on these vital issues,” Pelosi wrote Murtha Sunday in a letter obtained by The Hill. “For this and for all you have done for Democrats in the past and especially this last year, I am pleased to support your candidacy for majority leader for the 110th Congress.”

Rep. John Murtha, an influential Pennsylvania lawmaker, outspoken critic of the war in Iraq, and former Marine colonel and Vietnam war veteran, said Marines had “killed innocent civilians in cold blood” after allegedly responding to a roadside bomb ambush that killed a Marine during a patrol in Haditha, Iraq. He made this statement while the incident was still under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and Multi-National Forces Iraq. He made this statement before any facts were known.

John Murtha has already recommended a Vietnam-type cut-and-run plan for Iraq that will leave the Gulf far more dangerous than it is now. This plan looks like a “face-saving” retreat by the United States, just like that one that left Vietnam a Stalinist prison state with tens of thousands of boat people fleeing and dying, and next door in Cambodia, two or three million dead at the hands of Pol Pot.

Our soldiers would have died in vain while Al-Qaeda takes over Iraq. Those people who counted on us to stay and protect them until they can protect themselves will have been left high and dry to the murderous thugs of Al-Qaeda and Iran.

Rep. John Murtha, NBC’s “Meet the Press”, earlier in 2006 repeated his call for “redeploying” U.S. troops from Iraq with something new and disturbing to all Americans. Asked by moderator Tim Russert about sites for redeployment, Murtha replied: “We can go to Okinawa. … We can redeploy there almost instantly.”

Huh?

When Russert expressed doubt about “a timely response” from Okinawa to meet a Middle East crisis, the 16-term congressman from western Pennsylvania and new national security spokesman for his party stumbled: “Well, it — you know, they — when I say Okinawa, I, I’m saying troops in Okinawa. When I say a timely response, you know, our fighters can fly from Okinawa very quickly. And, and — when they don’t know we’re coming.”

Very quickly? A Pentagon spokesman says it would take “under a month” to prepare and send a 4,500-man Marine Expeditionary Force 6,000 nautical miles from Okinawa to Bahrain and then 600 more miles to Baghdad. This is what Murtha considers “very quickly”?

Murtha has a distinguished record of advocating surrender. He made his first tentative moves as a leader in the Tactics of Defeat when (by his own admission) he recommended to President Ronald Reagan that he withdraw from Lebanon following the terrorist bombing of the Marine base on October 23, 1983. In spite of the fact that the mission in Lebanon was largely succeeding, pressure from Congress and “courageous” veterans like Jack Murtha, finally convinced President Reagan to “change course” by pulling the marines out of Lebanon.

Murtha solidified his credentials as the King of Surrender when (again by his own admission) he became instrumental in President Clinton’s decision to “change course” in Somalia. You remember Somalia, don’t you? Operation Restore Hope, initiated by President Bush (41), sent 25.000 troops to Somalia to help provide humanitarian relief to the people. The mission was largely successful and is credited with having saved the lives of half a million Somalis and reducing the ongoing civil war to a small series of skirmishes. Under President Clinton, with the advice of Defense Secretary Les Aspin and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Madeleine Albright, the largely U.S. mission in Somalia was turned over to the U.N. Thereafter, incompetence became the word of the day, eventually culminating in the “Black Hawk Down” incident in October of 1993. President Clinton, heeding the gravely mistaken advice of the Mighty Jack Murtha to, in the words of Monty Python, “Run away! Run away,” began to withdraw the troops from Somalia. His “uncanny comprehension” of military strategy led him to make this recommendation, thereby leaving the way clear for Al Qaeda to begin consolidation operations. Murtha’s recommendation could, therefore, be called one of the most critical factors in the 9/11 attacks. Thanks, Jack, you’re a real hero.

Is this really the guy you want telling us how to win the war in Iraq? Murtha has no plan. He has no idea how to conduct a war. He has nothing to offer but fear and failure – and that’s why Pelosi wants him as House Majority Leader.

Lebanon. Somalia. And now Iraq. Truly Murtha is the King of Surrender.
