Within hours of the shooting several media outlets and liberal elites are bemoaning the Glock 19, the firearm used in the shooting, forgetting to acknowledge that the G19 is used in more law enforcement offices than practically any other firearm.

Many media outlets are practically refusing to mention Jared Loughner, preferring instead to blame the Tea Party, guns, the NRA, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, any any other “right of center” Progressive target. I will not link to them as I do not want to send them any traffic.

The knee-jerkers are also coming out from under their rocks. Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, is planning to introduce legislation that would make it illegal to bring a gun within 1,000 feet of a government official. .. sigh .. If this proposed law were really that good, then why not make it “… within 1,000 feet of any human”? Or is the implication that government officials are “more equal” than the great unwashed? This is why I don’t support the Republicans, because their ranks are just as filthy as the Democrats.

Folks let me go on record here:
- I do not advocate an otherthrow of the government, just a re-structuring to be more in line of what this country was founded on.
- I do not advocate violence against any non-violent person, just immediate and effective violence against those that would violence to me or my family.
- The fuse is there, and it’s been there for awhile, but it will be the Progressives-Liberals-Socialists that light the fuse. And it’s because of that that I keep my powder dry.

The population continues to shift from Democratic-leaning Rust Belt states to Republican-leaning Sun Belt states, a trend the Census Bureau will detail in its once-a-decade report to the president. Political clout shifts, too, because the nation must reapportion the 435 House districts to make them roughly equal in population, based on the latest census figures.

November’s elections put Republicans in control of dozens of state legislatures and governorships, just as states prepare to redraw their congressional and legislative district maps. It’s often a brutally partisan process, and Republicans’ control in those states will enable them to create new districts to their liking.

The combination of population shifts and the recent election results could make Obama’s re-election campaign more difficult. Each House seat represents an electoral vote in the presidential election process, giving more weight to states Obama probably will lose in 2012. The states he carried in 2008 are projected to lose, on balance, six electoral votes to states that his GOP challenger, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, won. That sets a higher bar for Obama before his re-election campaign even starts.

“The way the maps have shifted have made Obama’s route to success much more difficult,” said Republican Party spokesman Doug Heye. He said the GOP takeover of several state governments on the eve of redistricting efforts was “a dramatic shift.”

I’m still awaiting word that, due to a virus that escaped a government lab, all Progressives have morphed into zombies and We The People are having a great time expending round after round of ammunition.

The measure would extend tax cuts for families at every income level, renew jobless benefits for the long-term unemployed and enact a new one-year cut in Social Security taxes that would benefit nearly every worker who earns a wage.

Don’t forget that this bill came from Conservative Republicans and Tea Partiers. The Democrats and their Progressive minions wanted to increase taxes in the middle of the worst recession in a generation. Remember this in 2012.

25) Liberals seem to have hit upon a reverse Christ story as their belief system. He suffered and died for our sins; liberals make the rest of us suffer for sins we didn’t commit. Their claims of how awful ‘we’ are never seems to encompass themselves in the ‘we.’ Saying America is a racist nation is never meant to suggest that the speaker is a racist — it’s his neighbors who are the racists.

20) Americans cannot comprehend how their fellow countrymen could not love their country. But the left’s anti-Americanism is intrinsic to their entire worldview. Liberals promote the right of Islamic fanatics for the same reason they promote the rights of adulterers, pornographers, abortionists, criminals, and Communists. They instinctively root for anarchy against civilization.

10) With their infernal racial set-asides, racial quotas, and race norming, liberals share many of the Klan’s premises. The Klan sees the world in terms of race and ethnicity. So do liberals! Indeed, liberals and white supremacists are the only people left in America who are neurotically obsessed with race. Conservatives champion a color-blind society.

Like me, Bruce “started blogging as a therapeutic means of venting my frustration at local (and national) politicians and their penchant for taxpayer-funded malfeasance, after having experienced first-hand the level of disdain for individual liberty (not to mention, common decency) held by many in elected positions of power.”

Bruce left his home in Massachusetts and went across the border to New Hampshire, a state known to respect individual freedom much more than Massachusetts. But simply moving was not enough for Bruce, because in 2010 he declared his candidacy for State Representative in Rockingham District 10.

Last night my (former) fellow blogger won with 56% of the vote. Bruce MacMahon is now the new State Representative for Rockingham District 10. And I could not be happier.

Just one piece of advice: Bruce, don’t forget all the sleepless nights blogging about some fool in government passing laws that restrict personal freedom and individual liberty. The temptation and compromises and gridlock will vex your soul. Continue to stay strong, keep the faith, do us proud … in many ways you already have.

But will he REALLY attend a state house meeting while wearing his kilt?

U.S. unemployment rate is around 10%. One in 10 homeowners are behind on their mortgage payments. Home sales are at record lows. Ohio’s Ashtabula County sheriff department was cut again to 49 people and just one squad car for a county of 1,900 sq. km. The state of Michigan has converted at least 50 miles of paved road to gravel in the last few years. Cincinnati, Ohio, is cutting back on trash collection and snow removal and filling fewer potholes. The city of Dallas is not picking up litter in public parks. Flint, Mich., laid off 23 of 88 firefighters and closed two fire stations. The National League of Cities, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors of 270 local governments found that 63 per cent of localities are cutting back on public safety and 60 per cent are cutting public works. High-tech plants and research labs of companies such as Intel, Applied Materials, General Electric, and BP are moving to China. The United States is expanding its underclass of a whole group of individuals who will become less employable, less integrated, more subject to criminal and other deviant behavior, and probably become part of the larger problem of structural poverty in America as well. As we watch the middle class, and the nation, crumbling you cannot help but wonder if this is a major indication that the US is turning into a Third World country.

In the 1980s, fewer than a third of Americans received some sort of government benefits. That figure has risen to about 50 percent, At the same time, 45 percent of Americans pay no federal income taxes. If these trends are not reversed, we will soon reach a point at which most of the people have their standard of living subsidized by the earnings of a quarter, or maybe a fifth or fewer, of the rest. No nation can sustain the economic and cultural strength that has graced the United States while transferring so much wealth from so few to so many. Welcome to Socialism.

I’ve been saying this for years. Every bit of this is true. You either have the courage to stand and face it, or be swallowed by it.
