• 1979: US embassy in Iran is stormed and hostages held for 444 days. One of those terrorists is now the President in Iran. Sixty-six hostages were taken. Eight US servicemen from a Joint Special Operations Group were killed in an aborted rescue attempt. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1982: US embassy in Beirut is bombed. 63 people are killed. 18 of them are Americans. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1983: US Marine barracks is blown up by a truck bomb. 241 Americans are killed. 220 of those killed were Marines. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1985: The Achilles Lauro is taken over by terrorists and American, Leo Klinghoffer, is killed and thrown overboard in his wheelchair. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1988: Passenger jet, Pan Am Flight 103, is bombed and crashes in Lockerbie, Scotland. 270 people from 21 countries were killed. 189 of the victims were American. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1993: The World Trade Center is bombed. Ramzi Yousef, the chief planner, was involved in another bombing conspiracy. In January 1995, Yousef and his associates plotted to blow up eleven U.S. commercial aircraft in one spectacular day of terrorist rage. In the ’93 bombing 6 people were killed and over 1,000 were wounded. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1996: Housing complex in Saudi Arabia occupied by the US Air Force is bombed. 19 Americans are killed and 200 people injured. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 1998: US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya are bombed. 213 were killed and over 4,000 were injured as simultaneous car bombs were detonated. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2000: The USS Cole is attacked in Yemen’s harbor. 17 Sailors were killed and 39 others were injured by the explosion. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2001: The World Trade Center is destroyed, the Pentagon is hit, and a plane goes down in a Pennsylvania field. 2,749 are killed in the Twin Towers. There is still 10,000 unidentified bone and tissue fragments that cannot be matched to the list of the dead. 45 killed on Flight 93 and everyone on Flight 77 died and 125 people were killed as it crashed into the Pentagon. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2004: Beslan School Bombing, Russia. 171 children were killed and over 200 adults when extremists took more than 1,000 people hostage in a Russian school for three days. The things that happened in that school during that time are unthinkable. People were fighting over urine to drink. children killed. Parents executed in front of their children. Bombs strung all around them. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2004: A train in Madrid, Spain is bombed in a series of 10 explosions. 191 people are killed and almost 1,500 people are wounded. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2005: London Transit attacks on 7/7 and second attempt on 7/21. Four bomb attacks were carried out during rush hour. 56 people were killed and 700 injured. This attack was done by Muslim terrorists.
• 2010: Sunni suicide bombers targeted Shia pilgrims in Pakistan during Islam’s holiest month, making this a Ramadan to remember. In all there were over a thousand dead bodies across twenty-two countries. These attacks were done by Muslim terrorists.

Now let’s look at just some recent events from 2010:

• Five Muslim men planned an armed terrorist attack on a Sydney army base to further the cause of Islam by killing as many people as possible. Prosecutor Nick Robinson SC said the men took a number of steps in preparation for the attack, including sending one of their number to Somalia to obtain a fatwa or religious decree to permit the plan to go ahead. The plan was that five or six men armed with high powered weapons would enter the Holsworthy Army Base and fire at and kill as many people as possible before they were either killed or overwhelmed.
• Somali troops narrowly averted a potentially devastating Shabaab suicide attack at the main seaport in Mogadishu. A Shabaab fighter hijacked a fuel tanker and forced the driver at gunpoint to ram the security checkpoint at the seaport. Somali troops shot out the tires of the truck and fired into the cab as well, wounding the driver and suicide bomber. The suicide bomber was found with a bag packed with explosives. A Somali police officer told Reuters that the Shabaab fighter clearly had tried to detonate the bomb at the seaport.
• Gunmen stormed the house of a Sunni cleric in Baghdad and cut his head off before setting him on fire.
• A suicide bomber set off a powerful blast near a busy market in Russia’s restive North Caucasus, killing at least 17 people and wounding dozens. The attacker detonated a bomb packed with metal bars, bolts and ball bearings in a car outside the entrance to the public market.
• An 11-year-old Muslim girl is in very serious conditions after she was raped on 2 September, during the holy month of Ramadan, by her teacher at the Hogalpatia Hafezia Madrassah, an Islamic school she attends in Madaripur District in Dhaka.
• Panicked teachers in Thailand’s restive south stayed home from school Wednesday after two teachers were killed in broad daylight amid threats from suspected Muslim insurgents that 20 would die. The Narathiwat Teachers Federation called for more than 300 schools across the province to close Wednesday for several days.
• A powerful Muslim clan carefully planned and carried out the killings of 57 people – including 30 journalists – in the Philippines’ worst massacre.
• A Palestinian national, Abdalaziz Aziz Hamayel, has been arrested in South Florida after he was accused to attempting to purchase hundreds of stolen weapons. According to a criminal complaint against Hamayel, the suspect attempted to purchase 300 weapons, which he knew were stolen, and the weapons were headed to “his people.”
• A suicide bomber struck at a police residential colony, killing at least 21 people, including women and children, and injuring over 40 others, at Kohat in northwest Pakistan today. The attacker detonated an explosive-laden vehicle shortly after ‘iftar’, the evening meal to break the fast during the Islamic holy month of Ramzan.
• A bomb exploded in a nightclub in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe overnight, wounding seven people. Two high-ranking sources within the security services said they had arrested two radical Islamists in connection with the explosion, which followed an attack on Friday by suicide car bombers on a police station in another part of the country.
• The UN refugee agency said Tuesday that 230 civilians had been killed during fighting between government forces and Islamist rebels over the past two weeks in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
• At least 19 people, among them nine school children, were killed and 46 injured on Monday in yet another suicide bombing in Pakistan, this time targeting a police station in Lakki Marwat, a town in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
• Egyptian cleric Salem Abu Al-Futuh recently said, “The nation of Islam will return – despite our current crisis and despite the arrogance of the West. The West is bound to be destroyed. Just like Allah destroyed the Byzantine and Persian empires, He will destroy the West at the hands of the Muslims. This is an unequivocal promise. These countries will convert to Islam. Islam will reach these countries.”

Yet the world’s media, and the cultural Progressives, continue to apologize for these “random” acts of violence, acts that have “nothing” in common, are done only by a “few” extremists, and are really our fault because we’re so “mean” to them.

Folks keep telling me that there are millions of peaceful, moderate Muslims, that Islam is a religion of peace. If that is true, then it is time for the truly peace-loving Muslims to take back their religion that was hijacked by murderers. Until that happens then I say there are NO moderate, peace-loving Muslims, and The Religion Of Peace is really a conquering, murdering Religion Of Death. I say that Islam is every bit as dangerous as Nazism in the 1940s and Stalinism in the 1950s, and it needs to be eradicated completely from this planet. What I see of Islam is that it is in direct conflict with Freedom and Christianity, two things I hold very dear, and therefore presents a clear and present danger to me and how I chose to live my life.

For the first time since he took over in the White House, Americans don’t see eye to eye with President Barack Obama on the important issues, according to a new national poll.

According to the poll, which was released Tuesday, 48 percent of people questioned say that they agree with Obama on the issues that matter most to them, with 51 percent saying no.

Most Americans, 56 percent, don’t approve of the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama, and only a third believe that Obama has done enough to deserve the prize.

“Obama is facing crunch time on a number of controversial issues, from health care to financial regulation to cap and trade to Afghanistan,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

And why is this? Says Pat Buchanan:

The alienation and radicalization of white America began long before Obama arrived. He acknowledged as much when he explained Middle Pennsylvanians to puzzled progressives in that closed-door meeting in San Francisco.

Referring to the white working-class voters in the industrial towns decimated by job losses, Obama said: “They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

In their lifetimes, they have seen their Christian faith purged from schools their taxes paid for, and mocked in movies and on TV. They have seen their factories shuttered in the thousands and their jobs outsourced in the millions to Mexico and China. They have seen trillions of tax dollars go for Great Society programs, but have seen no Great Society, only rising crime, illegitimacy, drug use and dropout rates.

They watch on cable TV as illegal aliens walk into their country, are rewarded with free educations and health care and take jobs at lower pay than American families can live on – then carry Mexican flags in American cities and demand U.S. citizenship.

They see Wall Street banks bailed out as they sweat their next paycheck, then read that bank profits are soaring, and the big bonuses for the brilliant bankers are back. Neither they nor their kids ever benefited from affirmative action, unlike Barack and Michelle Obama.

They see a government in Washington that cannot balance its books, win our wars or protect our borders. The government shovels out trillions to Fortune 500 corporations and banks to rescue the country from a crisis created by the government and Fortune 500 corporations and banks.

America was once their country. They sense they are losing it. And they are right.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has raised the stakes against Israel by describing the Holocaust as a lie, just as world powers are trying to decide how to deal with the nuclear ambitions of an Iran in political turmoil.

“The pretext (Holocaust) for the creation of the Zionist regime (Israel) is false … It is a lie based on an unprovable and mythical claim,” he told worshippers at Tehran University at the end of an annual anti-Israel “Qods (Jerusalem) Day” rally.

Mr. Ahmadinejad said the Israeli “regime has no future. Its life has come to an end,” Reuters reported.

Experts at the world’s top atomic watchdog are in agreement that Tehran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is on the way to developing a missile system able to carry an atomic warhead, according to a secret report seen by The Associated Press.

The document drafted by senior officials at the International Atomic Energy Agency is the clearest indication yet that the agency’s leaders share Washington’s views on Iran’s weapon-making capabilities.

The document says Iran has “sufficient information” to build a bomb. It says Iran is likely to “overcome problems” on developing a delivery system.

On that morning, 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the buildings. Both buildings collapsed within two hours, destroying nearby buildings and damaging others. The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Pennsylvania, after some of its passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane, which the hijackers had redirected toward Washington, D.C. There were no survivors from any of the flights.

In total 2,993 people, including the hijackers, died in the attacks. The overwhelming majority of casualties were civilians, including nationals of over 90 countries.

Within hours of the attacks, the FBI was able to determine the names and in many cases the personal details of the suspected pilots and hijackers. Mohamed Atta‘s luggage, which did not make the connection from his Portland flight onto Flight 11, contained papers that revealed the identity of all 19 hijackers (all men), and other important clues about their plans, motives, and backgrounds. On the day of the attacks, the National Security Agency intercepted communications that pointed to Osama bin Laden, as did German intelligence agencies. On September 27, 2001, the FBI released photos of the 19 hijackers, along with information about the possible nationalities and aliases of many. Fifteen of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt, and one from Lebanon. Mohamed Atta was the ringleader of the 19 hijackers. The hijackers were well-educated, mature adults, whose belief systems were fully formed, and as such can be held to full accountability for their blood-lust in killing innocent civilians.

Scotland freed the terminally ill Lockerbie bomber on compassionate grounds Thursday, letting the Libyan go home to die despite American pleas to show no mercy for the man responsible for the 1988 attack that killed 270 people.

The White House declared it “deeply” regretted the Scottish decision as Abdel Baset al-Megrahi left Greenock Prison and flew to Libya on an Airbus dispatched to Glasgow Airport, still insisting he was innocent.

Scotland’s justice secretary said freeing the bomber was an expression of the Scottish people’s humanity but U.S. family members of Lockerbie victims expressed outrage.

To recap, on December 21, 1988, the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103 crashed near Lockerbie, Scotland, as a result of a terrorist bomb. Eleven townspeople were killed in Sherwood Crescent, where the plane’s wings and fuel tanks plummeted in a fiery explosion, leaving a huge crater. The 270 fatalities (259 on the plane, 11 in Lockerbie) were citizens of 21 nations.

Two men accused of being Libyan intelligence agents were eventually charged in 1991 with planting the bomb. It took a further nine years to bring the accused to trial. Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi was jailed for life in January 2001 following the 84-day Pan Am Flight 103 bombing trial under Scottish law, at Camp Zeist, Netherlands. His co-accused, Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, was acquitted, and returned to Libya. On August 20, 2009 the Scottish Government announced that Megrahi was to be released from prison on compassionate grounds as he has terminal prostate cancer.

No word yet from the Scottish Government on whether the 270 dead innocent people were allowed to voice their opinions on the matter.

Scotland, evidently having lost all concern for international terrorism and its victims, decided to release the man responsible for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 (which killed 270 people over Lockerbie) this afternoon. Apparently out of “compassion” for the dying man who’s only served about 8 years from his horrific crime.

In the rest of the world, “compassion” disappears for an individual once he’s decided to brutally murder 270 people on behalf of a state-sponsor of terror. Evidently in Scotland, mass murder doesn’t disqualify you from being released because you want to spend time with your family and friends back home. Remind me to chalk the country off my list of places to go.

But this isn’t the entirety of the story. You see, when this mass murderer, who only served 11 days in prison for each innocent person he killed, returned to a hero’s welcome in Libya. Says Allahpundit:

To which I fully agree. 11 days in jail for every innocent person he killed. He didn’t kill enemy soldiers on a battlefield – he killed students and children going home for the holidays. There is absolutely no honor in what this butcher did.

And there is no honor in what the Scottish Government did. In my mind they have now become equal to the savagery of al Megrahi. Although I am from Scot ancestry, today I am deeply ashamed of my people. Typical of Euro-weenie beta males.

Thousands of Atlanta residents have received an email warning from a police major about rising, violent crime in Zone 5, which includes neighborhoods in downtown and midtown.

Major Khirus Williams sent out the alert after a string of robberies and carjackings Monday night.

Here is some of what he wrote:

“Please, let us all keep our exterior lights on to illuminate the area. This makes the area unpopular for criminals!

“Also, please have your family, friends, and neighbors to blow their horn when arriving. This allows us to watch for them until they arrive, inside, safely. Open the window dressings and hi-light them with a flash-light. Thus, the criminal element would be aware that someone is watching!

“Furthermore, we have to minimize just visiting in the drive way, or sidewalks, at nights. I know that this is unfair, but the criminals are becoming more brazen and this is their method of attack.. Patrols throughout the City are not as common as they were in the past, as a result of furloughs.

“In closing, we have to do things differently than we did in the past, until there is a change. Please, let us minimize the opportunity for us to become victims and assist others as they return home. ”

Mr. Williams say 2 to 5 men wearing hoodies that cover their faces are armed with guns and approaching people even when they’re in groups and in lighted areas.

He also specifically references the current furloughs in the police department, which have cut patrols by 10% across the board.

“Right now, I feel like one of the most constructive things we can do is be completely honest with citizens about what they’re up against and admit that police presence won’t always be what it has been in the past,” said Mr. Williams.

So to combat rampant, out-of-control crime in Atlanta a police officer advised potential victims to blow their car horn, and shine a light in your friend’s face, and hide in fear in our homes? What an absolutely pitiful mound of helpless drivel.

What do you expect? Unemployment is up. Crime goes up. Obviously do not depend on Atlanta Police to protect you. You must learn to take care of yourself and family. The only thing I need the cops for is to write a report about the dead perp and haul the body away.

What does it say when even the cops admit that they’ve lost control and cannot be depended on to protect the citizens?

And what does it say about us if we only rely on the government, instead of ourselves, to protect us?

The Free Gaza movement is sending another solidarity ship to the Strip, due this time to the major Israeli attacks. The four previous voyages have set sail in solidarity to the million and a half residents under siege.

On board the ship expected to set sail on Monday are four physicians. Among them is Dr. Elena Theoharous, a surgeon and member of Cypriot parliament. Former United States Congresswoman and Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney will also be making the voyage. And local hero, Al Jazeera correspondent formerly imprisoned in Guantanamo, Sami Al Hajj, is also expected.

Then:

A group of international activists said it would defy an Israeli blockade and send a boat with medical supplies to Gaza from Cyprus.

Free Gaza Group spokeswoman Caoimhe Butterly said their 20-meter yacht Dignity would leave Larnaca port around 5 p.m. (1400GMT) Monday with 3.5 tons of donated supplies.

She said the yacht would carry 16 passengers, including former US Congresswoman Cynthia Mckinney, Cypriot lawmaker and doctor Eleni Theocharous and activists from Britain, Australia, Ireland and Tunisia.

A boat that was carrying international peace activists and medical supplies to Gaza sailed into a Lebanese port on Tuesday after being turned back by the Israeli navy, organizers of the trip said.

The boat, which set off from Cyprus Monday wanted to make a statement and deliver medical supplies to Gaza. The trip’s organizers said the boat was clearly in international waters, 90 miles off the coast of Gaza, at the time of its close encounter with the Israeli navy.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said the boat ignored an Israeli radio order to turn back early Tuesday.

Palmor says the boat tried to outmaneuver an Israeli navy ship and crashed into it, which lightly damaged both vessels. The navy then escorted the boat out into the territorial waters of Cyprus.

The 66-foot yacht Dignity, flying the flag of Gibraltar, left Larnaca Monday with almost 4 tons of Cypriot-donated supplies and 16 passengers, including former US Representative Cynthia McKinney, Cypriot lawmaker Eleni Theocharous and activists from Britain, Australia, Ireland and Tunisia, organizers said.

Hamas ended the cease-fire and rained rockets down on Israel, accompanied by mortars and the occasional attempt at a cross-border ground attack.

Israel did nothing. The rest of the planet yawned.

Hamas tells Israel that it is weak, confused, and helpless. And so more people are recruited, West Bank Palestinians look on with admiration at those fighting the enemy, and the Arabic-speaking world is impressed.

But then Israel does fight back. Its planes bomb military targets which have been deliberately put amid civilians. If there is a high danger of hitting civilians, Israel doesn’t attack. But there is a line below which risk that will be taken, and rightly so.

And now the planet begins to take notice? Casualty figures are announced by Hamas, and accepted by reporters who are not on the spot. Everyone hit is, of course, a civilian. Hamas has no soldiers, right?

Arab-sympathetic, or Israel-hating, photographers take pictures of children who pretend to be injured, and once they are published in Western newspapers these claims become fact.

Hamas is the aggressor. Hamas intentionally targets civilians. Hamas purposely hides its weapons within civilian residential areas. Yet Cynthia McKinney is willing to enter this volatile area to offer aid to Hamas, not Israel?

McKinney has long hated all things Israel while admiring all things Arab. I can only hope that she accidentally walks in front of an IDF tank while it’s screaming across Gaza.

McKinney is one person for which I will shed no tear when she no longer breathes.

An unknown group calling itself Deccan Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the massacre in Mumbai. There is some talk of the attacks coming from a group called the Indian Mujahedeen. A U.S. counterterrorism official said the level of sophistication in the attack leads officials to believe that it might be tied to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), although LeT denies any responsibility. But the sophistication of the execution of the attacks, and the deliberate targeting of Westerners, makes it probable that it was, in fact, Lashkar-e-Taiba that is responsible.

Lashkar-e-Taiba – the Army of the Righteous or Pure – is the terrorist wing of the Pakistan-based Islamic religious party, Markaz-ud-Dawa-wal-Irshad (an Islamic anti-Christian missionary organization that was formed in 1989). It is one of the three largest and best-trained terrorist groups murdering and mutilating Hindus, Christians, Communists, and peaceful Muslims in Kashmir, the northwestern region of the Indian subcontinent. It is a jihadi group of Wahhabi persuasion, backed by Saudi money and protected by Pakistani intelligence services.

Lashkar-e-Tayyba is a member of Osama bin Laden’s International Islamic Front for Jihad against the U.S. and Israel, as well as of the United Jihad Council. Its chief sponsor is the Pakistani government, supposedly a US ally in the fight against global terrorism.

The Lashkar-e-Tayyba’s agenda is outlined in a pamphlet titled “Why are we waging jihad.” It includes the restoration of Islamic rule over all parts of India and propagates a narrow Islamic fundamentalism based on the Wahabi sect.

Gunmen arrived by boats at the Mumbai waterfront near the Gateway of India monument in Mumbai, India, on Wednesday night, November 26. The gunmen hijacked cars, including a police van, and split into at least three groups to carry out their attacks, killing more than 120 people, with another 300-900 people wounded. Innocent people. Unarmed civilians. People guilty of no crime.

One group headed toward the Cafe Leopold, a popular hangout for Western tourists, firing indiscriminately at passers-by on the street. The group then opened fire and lobbed grenades at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station. As police rushed to the scene of the attacks, gunmen attacked the Cama Hospital for women and infants. Several people were killed at the hospital.

Two other groups attacked the Oberoi and Taj Mahal hotels, taking hostages there. The gunmen also took hostages at the Chabad House, where several Jewish families live. The gunmen gunmen fired indiscriminately from the Chabad House. Stray bullets killed a couple in their home and a 16-year-old boy who stepped outside.

The terrorists launched a sophisticated, multi-pronged attack into a city of 18 million residents. This requires planning, training, funding, and detailed reconnaissance. The targets were chosen carefully to achieve maximum effect. The terrorists hit hotels, a train station, a movie house, a residential complex, and a hospital – all soft targets. They also were able to plant bombs in taxis as well as capture a police van, which was then used in a drive-by shooting spree. The assault teams coordinated and synchronized their attacks to overwhelm Mumbai security. The terrorists were able to take a significant number of hostages. They knew where to find foreigners.

Was this a practice round for an attack in England or the US? Was India selected because of its lack of security? There is already evidence that Westerners, not Indians or Hindu, were specifically targeted. Was al-Qaeda quietly behind all of this?

If you pull your head out of the sand (or maybe your butt) for more than a few moments you will discover that terrorism and violence in Islam isn’t a phenomenon due to either political or economic injustices, nor is it a recent phenomenon, nor is it an infrequent phenomenon. The painful truth, the one that few media elites or social apologists are loathe to speak, is that terrorism and violence are fundamental components of Islam. Hatred of the Jews and the Christians, and the call for their killing, is quite normal, and is a divinely ordained obligation which is placed on all Muslims by Allah. The Quran promises that death in the cause of Islam transports one instantly to Paradise.

The larger, richer, and more powerful Islam becomes, the more deaths by terrorists will be seen on the nightly news.

Since May 1, 2003, close to 500 officers have been terminated for theft. Yep, that’s professionalism right there.

Security screeners at two of the nation’s busiest airports, LAX and ORD, failed to find fake bombs hidden on undercover agents posing as passengers in more than 60% of tests last year, according to a classified report obtained by USA TODAY.

In 2005, the US General Accounting Office discovered that the Department of Homeland Security lost employees at a rate that was more than twice the average for a Cabinet level agency and more than four times the federal average, with most leaving because of the behaviors of the TSA’s Transportation Security Officers. More than 67,000 individuals who entered into employment contracts with TSA have left the agency over a period of six years, out of a work force of 43,000. Yep, that sounds like some really rigid professional standards right there.

The entire premise of the TSA is to counter the threat of terrorists, many of who are trained for jihad over a lifetime. When you measure a screener with 120-hours of training – someone who earns $13.99 an hour and who’s statistically more likely to leave their job than stay – up against that kind of terrorist threat, the outcome looks grim.
