Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, then serving as American ambassadors to France and Britain, respectively, met in 1786 in London with the Tripolitan Ambassador to Britain, Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja. These future American presidents were attempting to negotiate a peace treaty which would spare the United States the ravages of jihad piracy—murder, enslavement (with ransoming for redemption), and expropriation of valuable commercial assets—emanating from the Barbary states (modern Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya, known collectively in Arabic as the Maghrib). During their discussions, they questioned Ambassador Adja as to the source of the unprovoked animus directed at the nascent United States republic. Jefferson and Adams, in their subsequent report to the Continental Congress, recorded the Tripolitan Ambassador’s justification:

“… that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

In 1805, American Marines marched across the desert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.

During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.

Jefferson’s victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, “From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli, We fight our country’s battles in the air, on land and sea.”

It wasn’t until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.

Jefferson had been right. The “medium of war” was the only way to put and end to the Muslim problem.

Associated Press photographer Rahmatullah Naikzad was a witness to a Taliban murder. The two women were alleged to have been prostitutes who served Western clientèle.

A quick Yahoo News photo search of Rahmatullah Naikzad seems to indicate that he’s very friendly with the Taliban.

We would remind the AP that the act of the Taliban inviting a reporter to the murder means they wanted this news out there. The AP was clearly being used as a propaganda outlet for the Taliban.

Does this make him an accomplice or only a witness to the crime? When you know a crime is about to be committed, do you not have a moral and ethical obligation to try to prevent that crime? Even if you’re a journalist? Even if all you do is try to call the authorities, in this case someone in the Afghani government or NATO?

The sequence of photos Naikzad indicate that he was with this band of assassins the day/night before the murders, and was still there the following morning to witness the two women get their heads blown open with gunfire.

Not only was this photographer able to capture a few still pictures, but he also captured the event on digital film as well. You can hear at least one of the women screaming after the first shots are fired.

The Taliban wanted publicity shots of the “event” and he gave them what they wanted. Way to pad your resume, dude. Anything for that paycheck, huh. Will you be traveling to Palestinian enclaves in Israel to follow the terrorists while they murder Israeli children?

You can claim you are outraged, you can claim you only wanted to show the violence against women, but in the end, they wanted the publicity and you gave it to them. You could have somehow lost the memory card, the video tape, the film (whatever media you chose), but then you might not have been paid or worse, not invited back for more.

Folks, there is evil in this world. And to do nothing in the face of evil makes you evil’s willing accomplice, and just as guilty.

The Oscars are all about product placement, those delectable swag bags filled to bursting with Montblanc pens, with Heather Hyde jewelry, with Icelandic Glacial bottled water. Get a starlet to bust out the giveaway designer doggie duds on the next morning’s duty walk with Bruiser, and baby, you’ve made it.

On Sunday night, the goody with el primo placement — right near the collars of Best Actress nominee Julie Christie and two-time winner Paul Haggis — was an orange ribbon. A cheap, ugly, dear God we thought the age of lapel-activism (AIDS, peace, veterans, breasts) was over ribbon. Or an orange bracelet, a cheap, ugly, when will this rubber fetish quit livingstrong — bracelet. Inscribed with Torture + Silence = Complicity.

These represent the orange jumpsuits worn by Guantanamo prisoners, and call for the closing of the prison, and the cessation of a range of controversial U.S. behaviors. But how did do-gooders get this cause to accessorize the glitterati?

Enter Allison Walker, the entertainment industry liaison for the ACLU (whodathunk!?), which sponsors the Close Guantanamo campaign and distributes the ribbons. Walker is a former talent agent who once worked at William Morris. She left the biz after a spiritually cleansing sabbatical studying orangutans in Borneo, at which point she realized she wanted to use her industry connections to do good.

Walker and her colleague Jenny Egan took out a full-page plea in Variety, which read, in part: “Whether you are walking the picket line, the red carpet or standing on the supermarket line, wear an orange ribbon.”

It’s simple. It’s easy. And you can do it while driving your Prius.

Did you notice the orange ribbon pinned to Julie Christie’s dress and Paul Haggis’s lapel at the Oscars? It was a lovely little accessory to show their support for the closing of the Guantánamo Bay prison because of the U.S. government’s controversial interrogation tactics there. The orange represents the jumpsuits worn by the prisoners and is also the color of a rubber bracelet worn by Haggis that reads “torture+silence=complicity” included in the Oscar swag bag. Organizations like the ACLU, which sponsors the Close Guantanamo campaign, ask stars to don these stamps of activism well in advance so that they have enough time to consult with their stylists.

Pining away for murderers while ignoring the victims. People used to wear POW bracelets (I did) and yellow ribbons for our troops, but now these losers are wearing ribbons to demonstrate sympathy for al-Qaeda.

The Hollywood Liberal Elite wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a red, white, and blue ribbon – their hearts are really with those poor sexist, racist, homophobic, theocrats who wear orange jumpsuits at Guantanamo.

Real America is a America is a freedom defending warrior class, not a panty-wearing, limp-wristed, self-centered commune of surrender monkeys.

Danish authorities on Tuesday arrested three people suspected of plotting a cartoonist’s assassination for his depiction of the Prophet Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban that enraged Muslims two years ago.

Three of Denmark’s largest newspapers said they would reprint the cartoon on Wednesday to show they would not be intimidated by fanatics. It was one of 12 Muhammad cartoons published in 2005 and then again in 2006 that led to protests in Muslim countries.

Investigators said they foiled the plot in its early stages in a pre- dawn raid in the western Denmark city of Aarhus. The police intelligence agency, PET, said two Tunisians and a Danish citizen of Moroccan origin were arrested.

“The case shows that, unfortunately, there are in Denmark groups of extremists that do not accept and respect the basic principles on which the Danish democracy has been built,” Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen said.

Tuesday’s arrests were meant “to prevent a terror-related assassination of one of the cartoonists behind the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad,” PET chief Jakob Scharf said. Investigators believe the plot had not advanced far enough to try the suspects.

Perhaps bloggers can take up some of the slack, and provide some leadership for our media outlets here in the US. At the very least, we can do so to salute the courage of the Danes on the front lines for free speech. It’s easy to defend free speech when it doesn’t cost anyone anything. Unfortunately, American newspapers and media outlets do not appear interested in expressing the same solidarity. CNN doesn’t include the image in its report, and so far, I haven’t seen any newspaper cover it yet, although they may tomorrow. The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.

Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4′s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.

Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.

For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.

Oh, goody! Now maybe the BBC can also televise live the stonings of women that have a false charge of adultery given them by a bunch of crusty old imams.

First let’s look at the context here. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the senior bishop and principal leader of the Church of England, as well as the symbolic head of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The present archbishop is this idiot Rowan Williams. Williams is the 104th in the list of Archbishops of Canterbury, in a line that goes back more than 1400 years to the first, Saint Augustine of Canterbury, who founded the see, the oldest in England, in the year 597. Along with the Church of England as a whole, the Archbishops of Canterbury were in communion with the See of Rome until the English Reformation, around 1534, when the independence of the English Church was established. In the order of precedence, the Archbishop of Canterbury is ranked above all individuals in the realm, with the exception of the Sovereign and members of the Royal Family.

So whenever this clown speaks, people listen.

Dr. Rowan Williams is basically saying that the Judeo-Christian foundation of British liberty isn’t worth fighting for because it offends the sort of people who don’t want or deserve liberty.

What he should be saying is that Britain is a nation built on Judeo-Christian Liberty, and that all those who don’t like it, can leave it.

Of course you’d have to actually believe in something to say something like that, and I get the feeling that Dr. Rowan Williams is much too “intellectual” to actually believe in anything, let alone fight for it.

Social cohesion comes from people adapting to a new and ever evolving society, not from accepting the backward demands of thugs and bullies for fear of offending them. Better to get your head hacked off than live a sniveling little snot under the boot of a tyrant.

You do not build a cohesive society, by socially cutting people off from each other through custom-made legal systems based on ethnicity and religion. Instead you create a bunch of little societies, that are all at each others throats until cohesion is achieved through one side killing all of the other.

Ouch.

Three suspected al Qaeda militants, including two sisters, beheaded their uncle and his wife, forcing the couple’s children to watch, Iraqi police said on Friday.

The militants considered that school guard Youssef al-Hayali was an infidel because he did not pray and wore western-style trousers, they told police interrogators after being arrested in Diyala province northwest of Baghdad.

The three cousins executed Hayali and his wife Zeinab Kamel at the all-boys school in Jalawlah in Diyala province, village police chief Captain Ahmed Khalifa said.

Women are being given controversial “virginity repair” operations on the NHS, it emerged last night.

Taxpayers funded 24 hymen replacement operations between 2005 and 2006, official figures revealed.

And increasing numbers of women are paying up to £4,000 in private clinics for the procedure apparently under pressure from future spouses or in-laws who believe they should be virgins on their wedding night.

Doctors said most patients are immigrants or British of ethnic origin.

Not just are women being forced, by their culture, to get this terrible procedure, but the British government – using taxpayer dollars pounds – is willing to fund it. I find it difficult to imagine that the majority of British taxpayers agreed to having their money used in this way.

The trend has been condemned by critics as a sign of social regression driven by Islamic fundamentalists. Some countries have made hymen reconstruction operations illegal.

Dr Magdy Hend, consultant gynaecologist at the Regency Clinic, Harley Street, London, who started hymen reconstruction more than 18 years ago in the Middle East and the Gulf, said: “In some cultures they like to see that the women will bleed on the wedding night. If the wife or bride is not a virgin, it is a big shame on the family.”

Dr Hend said he was surprised by the “very good response” to the service and said there is “big competition on the market”.

Most of his clients, he told More4 News, are in their teens or early 20s.

Islam, that wonderful Religion Of Peace™, is the entity forcing girls in their teens or early 20s to have their hymens rebuilt so that they can properly bleed on their wedding night. Did I get that correct, imams in the UK?

And not only that, but the vulture-doctors in Britain are saying there is a “very good response” and there is “big competition on the market.” Oh, I’m sure their Moms are proud of them right about now. These are the very type of vulture-doctors the US needs once HillaryCare goes into action.

The operation can involve suturing of a tear in the hymen, such as might be caused by sexual assault, to help healing.

But it can also be conducted as a purely cosmetic procedure. A membrane is constructed, sometimes including a capsule of an artificial blood-like substance.

This operation is intended to be performed within a few days before an intended marriage.

And there ya go. Ain’t nothing like having a good bleeder in my bed on my wedding night. Boy, that really makes me feel like a Man. Wow.

She added: “We should be trying to protect girls from this.

“It is a form of abuse of women and it may be that the woman who is asking for the operation to be done does not recognise the abuse that is taking place against her, but in later life she certainly will.

This is a dreadful waste of NHS funds and what barbaric cultures they are to “like to see women bleed”. This is abuse of women, pure and simple and this operation should be banned, without delay, from being performed in this country. This is disgusting – and even more so that the British government is subsidizing it. And this is coming from a Socialized healthcare society that is delaying needed surgeries because they’re either out of available time, no doctors are available, or it costs too much money. Is female circumcision next?

Well I’m pleased to know that my dad was left on the critical list for bypass surgery due to a liver defect for almost 9 months but the NHS pays for this. Disgusting.

At dawn on Sunday, December 7, 1941, naval aviation forces of the Empire of Japan attacked the United States Pacific Fleet center at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and other military targets. The goal of this attack was to sufficiently cripple the US Fleet so that Japan could then attack and capture the Phillipines and Indo-China and so secure access to the raw materials needed to maintain its position as a global military and economic power. This would enable Japan to further extend the empire to include Australia, New Zealand, and India (the ultimate boundaries planned for the so-called “Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere”). The prevailing belief within the Japanese military and political establishment was that eventually, with the then expected German defeat of Great Britain and Soviet Russia, the United States’ non-involvement in the European war, and Japan’s control of the Pacific, that the world power structure would stabilize into three major spheres of influence:

1. The Empire of Japan controlling East, Southeast, and South Asia and the entire Pacific Ocean.

2. The combined powers of Germany and Italy controlling Great Britain, all of Europe, Western and central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

3. The United States, controlling North and South America.

But their cowardly attack simply awakened a sleeping giant and instilled in us a terrible resolve. That’s the same mistake Osama and his ilk made on 9/11.

Or was it a mistake after all?

Stop whatever it is that you’re doing and read joe-6-pack’s great treatise on what would leading Democrats, and the mainstream media, have to say if they were alive and kicking on December 7, 1941. Some snippets:

Howard Dean would have said it would take 5 years to rebuild our navy before we could confront Japan, so we better pull back our forces from Hawaii to the mainland.

John Kerry would have said that Japan was not responsible for the Bataan Death March. If we had not been occupying the Philippines, there would have been no need for the Death March.

Nancy Pelosi would have worried about the civilians killed during the Jimmy Doolittle air raid on Tokyo.

Ted Kennedy would have said that President Roosevelt knew about the threat, but he ignored it so his defense contractor buddies would make money off the war.

Al Gore would have gone into his “black preacher” persona and hollered that Germany did not attack us at Pearl Harbor, rather, President Roosevelt attacked Germany to distract from the failures in the Pacific war theatre.

Jimmy Carter would have explained that Mr. Hitler was simply trying to unify Europe under a single flag and that we should have signed a peace treaty instead of invading Normandy.

The War on Terror is just as serious as WWII, though it is vastly different. The War on Terror is WWIII, a war that pits civilized peoples against those that would conquer the planet through sharia.

The Japanese success at Pearl Harbor with trivial losses to themselves can be blamed on the inability of the US political, diplomatic, and military establishments to recognize the capabilities of Japan and the weaknesses in US defense planning as well. The very same could be said of the US on 9/10/2001. The only difference between these eras will be the strength of the US civilian resolve.

The sneak attack against Hawaii brought an immediate reaction of unprecedented unity from the American people. Families from every class sent their sons and daughters to war, women joined the industrial work force, and no one was untouched by the effort to bring all of the US resources to bear upon the war effort. Today huge numbers of people would rather spend their efforts watching “Desperate Housewives” and not be bothered with an evil that has been actively attacking the US for the last 20 years and has publically stated that they will continue to do so.

Failure was not an option in WWII nor it is now – except for the Left and their Apologists. Doesn’t the Left understand that sharia is completely contrary to the Left’s dream of worldwide Socialism? It’s going to be bad enough rescuing France 20 years from now after becomming the first Eurabian theocratic state – it’s going to be doubly bad to have to rescue Pelosi from a beheading in the People’s Kingdom of San Francisco.

During the week of October 22-26, 2007, the nation will be rocked by the biggest conservative campus protest ever – Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses.

The purpose of this protest is as simple as it is crucial: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the war on terror and that Global Warming is a greater danger to Americans than the terrorist threat. Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point this out. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear.

In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves. According to the academic left, anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the war on terror is an “Islamophobe.” According to the academic left, the Islamo-fascists hate us not because we are tolerant and free, but because we are “oppressors.”

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country.

The LONG TERM goal of jihad is world domination – a global Islamic state under Islamic law. Jihad is not, as some Western apologists claim, simply a striving for individual perfection. Rather, jihad is an expansionist totalitarian ideology that seeks to establish a global Islamic state ruled by Islamic law, or sharia. Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s chief henchman said in the summer of 2006: “Jihad seeks the liberation of Palestine, the entire country of Palestine and to liberate every land that used to be a territory of Islam, from Spain to Iraq.”

The jihad’s IMMEDIATE Objective is “Death to America.” “America,” declared Al-Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Gheith, “is the head of heresy in our modern world, and [as a result] . . . we have the right to kill 4 million Americans — 2 million of them children — and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons.” The Saudi Sheikh Nasser ibn Hamed gives an even higher figure for appropriate American deaths: “If a bomb was dropped on them [i.e. the Americans] that would annihilate 10 million and burn their lands to the same extent that they burned the Muslim lands – this is permissible….”

The ideology of the Islamists whose ranks today include not only al-Qaeda but also Hamas and Hezbollah – originated with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoon) founded in 1928 by Sheikh Hassan al-Banna. And the Muslim Brotherhood finds not just its roots, but much of its symbolism, terminology, and political priorities deep within the heart of Nazi fascism.

The long legacy of Arab and Palestinian Nazism, and the Hitlerite themes of lebensraum, ethnic cleansing and genocide, continue to echo in the Middle East today. Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah, said of the Jews after the Lebanon war of 2006: “If they gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them nationwide.” Mahmoud Zahar, Hamas Foreign Minister, says: “I dream of hanging a huge map of the world on the wall at my Gaza home which does not show Israel on it.” And most chillingly, Ali Akabar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former President of Iran, looks ahead to the next holocaust and final solution: “The use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam.”
