Mary Landrieu (D-LA) told the Senate she would vote yes to begin the debate. She didn’t do so because she believed government-run healthcare either demands to be debated nor needs to be silenced. She did so only because, under the cover of darkness, Senate Crime Boss Harry Reid (D-NV) stuck in a 7-page section that gave Landrieu $300 million.
It has been said that everyone has a price. Senator Landrieu’s price seems to be $300 million. As least you cannot consider Landrieu to be a cheap whore.
The real shame in all of this is that (1) the media won’t say anything about this, and (2) the rest of the country is not shocked and appalled.
