I see no need for a 20 ga shotty (presuming you already have the requisite 12 ga). A .410 perhaps for small fowl or rock salt use against roaming dogs, but a 20 just doesn't make sense to me.

Not so much an opinion as what I have collected over the years.
in order of descending caliber
rifles
30.06
1) Scoped Remington 710 Hunting,
2) M1917A Eddstone w/ iron sites
308
1) M1A Iron sights
7.62x39
1) MAK90, tarted up and using a dot scope
2) SKS Ranch rifle (takes AK mags)

357/38SP
1) Rossie 92 carbine

.22LR
1) two (2) Rugger 10/22s
2) a very old (but rugged) bolt action
3) a break down AR7 style rifle (lives in my BOB)

Shotgun
12 Gage
1) Maverick 88
2) SAAS style double barreled carriage gun

Pistols
.45ACP
1) H&K USP Full size (ok, I like big guns)
2) Springfield Armory Micro-compact 1911

357/38SP
1) two colt style single action revolvers

.22LR
1) P22
2) Beretta Neo

I expect/Hope to get more use out of the 22lr than anything else in a TSHFT situation, but I could make use of all of them, and I have enough to arm up the wife and kids (kids are trained) and a couple of friends.
