On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care — a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!
Highlights on the agenda:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
The Director of Communications at the White House Office of Health Reform is Linda Douglass, who worked as a reporter for ABC News from 1998-2006.
ABCNEWS Senior Vice President Kerry Smith: “ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president.”
So ABC is living in the White House, and will pick who asks questions of the President when he tried to sell us on the snake-oil ObamaCare plan.
A one-hour prime-time town-hall type discussion with the President on health care?
This cannot help but be nothing more than a “glorified infomercial” to promote a Democratic agenda. It won’t be long before there is an “Obama channel” for our viewing enjoyment. For now we have ABC: the All Barack Channel.
Since ego and spite became the dominant characteristics of the Oval Office, the Obama era is ready to launch “propaganda through state-run television.
The people in charge at ABC feel it is their duty to support political agendas instead of just fairly representing both sides of the issue. That would be too logical and not a good use of their “power base” that they have being in charge of such a powerful entity as broadcasting info to the citizens. They can control people by controlling the info.
This is what Saul Alynsky and others were talking about: Leveraging your power to maintain control. Once in control, you can do what you want and work to attain more power and more control.
But please remember: not even a pretend Messiah can divinely channel your remote and force you to become a fan of state-run television. Turn the damn channel, or turn the TV off.
