Via Ed Morrissey we hear more of Obama’s Socialist wealth redistrubition:
Barack Obama’s election has given the Left a new license to talk redistributionism. Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) indulges in the celebration of government control of capital in this clip explaining how Republicans have this simplistic devotion to the silly concept of private property.
MORAN: “We have been guided by a Republican administration who believes in the simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it and they have an antipathy towards redistributing wealth and they may be able to sustain it for a while but it doesn’t work in the long run.”
?!?

Did Rep. Moran just imply that people who have wealth are not entitled to keep it? The word “entitled” means “furnished with proper grounds for claiming something”, so Rep. Moran must believe that people who have wealth do not have proper grounds for claiming or keeping the wealth they have accumulated. People of wealth must give up that which they have and hand it over to the government to redistribute to those they feel are more worthy, or have better grounds for claiming said wealth, even though they never lifted a finger to create or accumulate said wealth.
Fine and dandy, you say, as long as the government only steals from those making over $250,000 a year … or was it $200,000 … or is it now $100,000? What happens when the cut-off for being “rich” is making $50,000 a year?
And yet the Obamanunists complain when I call them Socialist.
