A 16-year-old Palm Bay boy used a knife to cut a woman’s throat, killing her for beer money, police said today.

Alan Michael Tanguay is facing a first-degree murder charge in the killing of 58-year-old Patricia Kaliszeski, who was found dead in her Albright Street home on Friday

Police arrested Alan at his home on Vin Rose Circe on Monday.

Records show he used the $6 he allegedly stole from Kaliszeski to buy beer.

Kaliszeski was found face down in a pool of blood in her bedroom. Her throat had been cut and she had multiple stab wounds in her neck.

In the release, police allege that Alan found the knife inside the residence and approached the victim, “who tried to defend herself against the attack.”

Tanguay told investigators he was burglarizing the house when Kaliszeski approached him with a knife. He took it away from her and used it to attack her, and also hit her in the head with a lamp.

One witness told police that Tanguay “has claimed to have killed someone else in the past. He said he has a rule – if he finds someone in the house during a burglary, he has to kill them,” according to a report filed by police.

Tanguay is a self-professed “psychotic killer”. Later he bragged to friends he killed somebody and robbed her of six dollars. Classy.

He stabbed her multiple times and across the neck to the point where he nearly severed her head. This was pure soulless brutality.

It takes a special level of evil to kill a stranger just for $6.

This special level of evil is present in this world. It exists and lives around us. It may stand near us while waiting in line at the grocery store. It may be in the car behind us as the gas station. It may be employed by our employer. It may already be looking hungrily at our loved ones.

This is why I carry a handgun every day, everywhere I go.
