Frank Marshall Davis was an American journalist, poet and political and labor movement activist. Obama’s apologists first attempted to minimize any Obama/Davis relationship. As evidence mounted however, it became apparent that Davis was indeed a mentor to Obama. The relationship lasted from 1970 when Obama was ten until he left Hawaii for college on the mainland at age 18.
In 1927, Davis moved to Chicago, where he worked variously for the Chicago Evening Bulletin, the Chicago Whip and the Gary American, all African-American newspapers.
In 1931, he moved to Atlanta to become an editor of a semiweekly paper, the Atlanta World.
In 1935, Davis moved back to Chicago to take the position of managing editor of the Associated Negro Press.
From the mid/late ’30s to the early ’40s Davis was involved in several Communist Party front organizations, including the the National Negro Congress, the League of American Writers, the National Federation for Constitutional Liberties and the Civil Rights Congress
The FBI first began tracking Davis in 1944 when they identified him as member of the Communist Party’s Dorie Miller Club in Chicago, card-carrying member #47544.
In 1948, Davis and his second wife, who had married in 1946, moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, at the suggestion of Davis’s friend Paul Robeson. There, Davis operated small wholesale paper businesses, Oahu Papers and the Paradise Paper Company.
He also wrote a weekly column, styled “Frank-ly Speaking,” for the Honolulu Record, a labor paper published by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). Davis’s early columns covered labor issues, but he broadened his scope to write about cultural and political issues, especially racism. He also included the history of blues and jazz in his columns.
In 1950, the congressional House Un-American Activities Committee accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations. The committee concluded that the Honolulu Record was “a front for the Communist Party.
He became friends with Stanley Dunham, Barack Obama’s maternal grandfather in the 1960s. He was first introduced to Obama in 1970 when Obama was 10.
The FBI continued to monitor Davis into the 1960s and though they found little if any party activity on the islands, he was still regarded as a “believer”. They marked him down for immediate arrest should war break out between the US and the Soviet Union, an honor reserved only for the most dangerous subversives.
Davis would cruise in Hawaii parks looking for couples or female tourists to have sex with. He derived sexual gratification from bondage, simulated rape and being flogged and urinated on.
In 1968 Davis, under a pseudonym, authored a hard-core pornographic novel. The book, titled “Sex Rebel: Black (Memoirs of a Gash Gourmet)”, was written under the pseudonym “Bob Greene,” and was published by Greenleaf Publishing Company in San Diego.
The book, which closely tracks Mr Davis’s life in Chicago and Hawaii and the fact that his first wife was black and his second white, describes in lurid detail a series of shockingly sordid sexual encounters, often involving group sex.
He stated that “under certain circumstances I am bisexual” and that he was “ a voyeur and an exhibitionist” who was “occasionally mildly interested in sado-masochism”, adding: “I have often wished I had two penises to enjoy simultaneously the double – but different – sensations of oral and genital copulation.”
One chapter concerns the seduction by Mr Davis and his first wife of a 13-year-old girl called Anne. Mr Davis wrote that it was the girl who had suggested he had sex with her. “I’m not one to go in for Lolitas. Usually I’d rather not bed a babe under 20 … But there are exceptions. I didn’t want to disappoint the trusting child. At her still-impressionistic age, a rejection might be traumatic, could even cripple her sexually for life … She obtained a course in practical sex from experienced and considerate practitioners rather than from ignorant insensitive neophytes … I think we did her a favour, although the pleasure was mutual.”
Of note: for seven years, Obama had a “father-son” relationship with Frank Marshall Davis, a man who has confessed to having sex with children, sadomasochism, bondage, and practicing a wide array of deviant sexual activities. Is it possible that Davis was just a bit more than a mentor to Obama? Some have even suggested that Davis is, in fact, Obama’s biological father (I’ll save that for another post).
Why did Barack Obama move from Hawaii to Chicago? Why did he choose a city famous for its corruption and distrust of outsiders as a launching pad for his political career? Was it because his mentor Frank Marshall Davis had already told him about the underground “progressive” movement in Chicago that Davis had help create? Did Obama simply mesh into the “progressive” machine that Davis built?
Obama admits he was inspired to first move to Chicago in 1983 by the election of the city’s first black mayor Harold Washington. Obama even unsuccessfully wrote away for a job in Washington’s administration. Washington had ties to the Communist Party since the 1940s and was also closely associated with the Marxists who went on to form Democratic Socialists of America in 1982. Harold Washington emceed the 1981 Debs Dinner, a major dinner every year to honor US socialist leaders Eugene Debs, Norman Thomas and Michael Harrington.
It is a mere coincidence that Obama’s youthful mentor was a Communist, that his inspiration to move to Chicago was a man that had strong ties to the Communist Party, and that today one of Obama’s philosophies is to punish the rich and spread their wealth to the poor? Is Obama a Stalinist Trojan Horse? A Marxist Mole?
How else is one to explain this candidate who came out of nowhere and since 1996 and involvement with the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America, he has been able to “leap” every three years up the political ladder? You do know, don’t you, that the Communist Party USA endorsed Obama for US President, as did The Young Communist League USA and the Committees for Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism?
Since his youth Barack Obama has seldom been without a Communist or Socialist influence in his life. I wonder if either Biden or McCain or Palin can say that about themselves?
