From Slate.com:
What with the Bush legacy of reckless war and economic mismanagement, 2008 is a year that favors the generic Democratic candidate over the generic Republican one. Yet Barack Obama, with every natural and structural advantage in the presidential race, is running only neck-and-neck against John McCain, a sub-par Republican nominee with a list of liabilities longer than a Joe Biden monologue. Obama has built a crack political operation, raised record sums, and inspired millions with his eloquence and vision. McCain has struggled with a fractious campaign team, lacks clarity and discipline, and remains a stranger to charisma. Yet at the moment, the two of them appear to be tied. What gives?
Much evidence points to racial prejudice as a factor that could be large enough to cost Obama the election.
If Obama loses, our children will grow up thinking of equal opportunity as a myth. His defeat would say that when handed a perfect opportunity to put the worst part of our history behind us, we chose not to. In this event, the world’s judgment will be severe and inescapable: The United States had its day but, in the end, couldn’t put its own self-interest ahead of its crazy irrationality over race.
Hmmm, so the author, Jacob Weisberg, believes that if The High Holy Obama doesn’t win the election it will be because America is racist.
A month ago The Obamessiah had a 10-15 point lead. Did all those millions of voters suddenly become racist overnight? Or could it be that they finally had enough of his Socialist policies and moral weaknesses?
Mr. Weisberg, the ONLY reason many people are voting for The Big O is that he is black (yeah, officially only half black, but who’s counting), a characteristic of a racist person themselves.
If 90% of whites vote for McCain then Mr. Weisberg cries racism. But what happens when 90% of blacks vote for Obama? Ahhh, but always remember: only Conservatives, and never Liberals, can be racist. Shiznit.
I’m not supporting Obama because he wants to loose in Iraq and take as much of my money as he can get and give it to crack whores and others that are too lazy to go out and get a job. The fact he is black is irrelevant. The fact that he’s a big-government Socialist is relevant.

INDEED! I am so sick of this race card. I mean, all people can talk about is that we AREN’T voting for him JUST because he’s black. But, to me, it’s just as bad that so many people ARE voting for him JUST because he’s black. Vote for the best person for the job. And that means it doesn’t matter if they are black, white, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, beige, tall, short, male, female, fat, or skinny. Since when was the presidental race a popularity contest? Oh, my bad, since forever.
