Change We Can Believe In

The New York Times has been long been documented to be one of the most Liberal newspapers in the country. Many of their “news” pieces are nothing more than Democrat talking points.

So it comes as somewhat of a shock that in a recent 33-page poll, the new politics of Obama, the candidate of “change”, may be over.

Question 2. Is your opinion of Barack Obama favorable, not favorable, undecided, or haven’t you heard enough about Barack Obama yet to have an opinion?

While the “Favorable” has floated between 30-60% over the last 18 months, the “not favorable” has steadily climbed from 9% to 31%.

12. What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?

While “War” and “Terrorism” used to be the most important problems, today “Economy” has rocketed to the #1 spot. Let’s see how The Obamessiah calms the people’s fears about the economy.

26. Do you think Barack Obama says what he believes most of the time, or does he say what he thinks people want to hear?

Here we go. While “Says what he believes” gets between 45-65%, there has been an increase from 31% TO 51% (yep, more than half).

27. Regardless of how you intend to vote for president in 2008, how likely do you think it is that Barack Obama would be an effective commander-in-chief of the nation’s military?

“Very likely” and “Somewhat likely” are slipping downwards, while “Not too likely” and “Not at all likely” are increasing.

29. If he were elected President, do you think Barack Obama would bring about real change in the way things are done in Washington, or wouldn’t he do that?

“Would” has dropped from 70% to 58% while “Would not” has increased from 24% to 35%.

I think more and more people are seeing that Obama is not the Messiah Of Hope And Change that they thought he was, but rather a politician that will lie and pander to get elected.

Duh.

This poll was answered by a population that considers themselves to be 26% Republican, 37% Democrat, and 31% Independent, yet 22% Liberal, 41% Moderate, and 32% Conservative.
