Raila Odinga is married to Ida Odinga (born Ida Anyango Oyoo). They have four children - two sons and two daughters. His oldest son, Fidel, is named after Fidel Castro. Their youngest child, Winnie, is named after Winnie Mandela. Raila lives in Nairobi but has a second home in Bondo District.
Odinga claims to be a cousin of American Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama through the latter’s father, Barack Obama Sr., who Odinga claims was his maternal uncle. This claim has not been corroborated, but Obama Sr. did come from the same Luo tribe as Odinga.
So who is this Raila Odinga?
In 2007 Raila Odinga was rumoured to have signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Muslim Leaders Forum, NAMLEF. Odinga supporters are the people that are burning Christians alive while trapped inside churches. Most of Odinga’s fanatical followers are radical Islamists who have pushed for Islamic Sharia Law, total banning of other religions and closing of co-ed schools, night clubs and ‘public dressing style considered immoral’. Odinga was educated in Former Soviet controlled East Germany and maintains a strong loyalty to the vision of his ‘Educators’ and has allied with Islamist in order to gain their political support.
Islamic governments have targeted Kenya as a key element in the spread of Islam in the Horn of Africa and ultimately the world. The Kenyan Diaspora including Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Hussein Obama has also played a part. The fall of Kenya into Islamist control would be devastating to anti-terrorist activities in the Horn of Africa, not to mention the potential for the expansion of a caliphate. One has to ask, how fast will Kenya go Islamic and apply Shariah law?
It is interesting that Barack “we are one people” Obama should saddle up to cousin Raila Odinga who is so aligned with Islam. And you want him in the White House?
