Gore’s Global Warming Is Cooling

February 28th, 2008 · 8 Comments

Global warming fear-monger and Nobel Prize winner for saving the known universe, Al Gore, has often ranted how humans - especially those nefarious ones living in the US - are causing the planet to cook like a burned meatloaf. Anyone that has had the courage to publicly disagree with him have found themselves shut out of the debate.

But he just might have a problem now.

From DailyTech:

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C — a value large enough to wipe out nearly all the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year’s time. For all four sources, it’s the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn’t itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

When will you understand that GLOBAL WARMING is leading to A CLIMATE CHANGE (with higher CLIMATE VIRIABILITY), and the CLIMATE CHANGE could lead to a SWITCH in the climate wich could lead us to a FROZEN WORLD or A DESERT WORLD. Stop to mislead and recognize that modern humans are changing the chemical equilibrium of the world in huge proportions. And that is for the worst.

    No, you are wrong.

All your buzzwords - global warming, climate change, frozen world, desert world - are more than likely caused by regular and irregular changes in the behavior of the sun, not from any sort of changed chemical equilibrium caused by humans.

Just look at your statement: “climate change could lead to a switch in the climate which could lead us to a frozen world or a desert world.” Could, could, could, maybe, possibly. It would make just as much sense to say “climate change could lead to a cure for AIDS which could lead us to world-wide riches or a time portal into a parallel universe.” You’re wording your arguments such no matter what the outcome you’ll find some way to blame Evil Humans™. That’s not science … that’s religion.

And where did I mislead? I simply quoted an article from DailyTech.

The one I prefer is CLIMATE DESTABILISATION.

I am a beleiver like all human are. Yes I beleive earth is a globe even if I can not proove it. I trust the majority of scientifics (why would they lie to me on this). My deep wish is to be wrong on this subject (even if 99% of scientiest agree on GW) and I hope that NEGATIVE FEEDBBACK could save us (but I am skeptic for this). Everything seems LOGICAL to me - how many years has needed to the earht to transfrom mass of trees (carbon) in fossil? - how many years humans needed to transform it back in CO2 ? These values speaks for themselves, It seems that we ‘overconsume’.

If you are skeptic of the CLIMATE CHANGE, I advise you to see this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T4UF_Rmlio)

I think that the first poster was being sarcastic, but thats the trouble with Global Warming zealots, so much of the crap that they say is so incredibly stupid that it sounds like sarcasm, because no rational person could take the garbage that they spew seriously.

Listening to the Global Warming Idiots is about like listening to Shirley Phelps or Pat Robertson explain how homosexuality caused 9/11. Same logic, and pretty much the same conclusion. People are bad they bring all their troubles on themselves, damned sinners.

“God sent 2 angels to seek out his man Lott in the city of Soddom, because God had decided that Soddom was a wicked city, and should be destroyed for its wickedness. Lott plead with God to give the people a chance, God gave him 2 days, then destroyed the City after Lott left. Sarah, Lott’s Wife, looked back at the burning City of Soddom and was instantly turned into a pillar of Salt.”-The Story of Soddom in a Nutshell from The Holy Bible.

The folks from the “God hates Fags” Church are old school calvinists, exactly like the Puritans from the Saleem Witchburning days back in Massachussetts. They think that Salvation is predetermined from Birth, so faith in Jesus alone is not enough to save you. The “Elect” alone shall be saved, and its the job of the elect to keep mankind in line, or else tragedies like 9/11 or Soddom will happen to humanity.

    See any parallels?

    - Do the people who are suffering in Darfour because of war and GW are “Elect”? Do the people of Tuvalu left without ground are “Elect”? I hope not to be one, but it could be and I think I will be if I have a long life. When these people speak about their problem related to GW, I listen.
    - Everybody wants to stay in his home in peace and let the leader take the good decision.
    - In general, deep responsibility is unbearable by most of the citizen. They prefer to say: “It’s not my fault”. They don’t want to endorse even a tiny part of the responsibility of a problem. Citizen want to be so, so be so (true experience = your truths).
    - I am not going to fight to save the world but just try to save myself from myself. I am just going to try to assume my responsibility to be happier.
    - I believe in interdependence, impermanence and love… so for anything which happens, I feel responsible. That doesn’t mean that I feel to be the responsible one.

In 1997, NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor mission began transmitting data back from the Red Planet. Almost immediately, it was noted the planet was experiencing rapid warming, similar to what the Earth is currently undergoing. In 2001, two separate research papers were published detailing the situation.

I seriously doubt that an SUV in America is helping cause global warming on Mars at the same time that the fear-mongers on Earth are decrying imminent doom here.

It’s due to normal solar cycles, nothing more nothing less.

As the vice president of the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Yury Izrael, wrote bluntly in 2005, “There is no proven link between human activity and global warming.”

More than 15,000 scientists, two-thirds with advanced academic degrees, have now signed a Petition against the climate accord concluded in Kyoto (Japan) in December 1997. So “no”, 99% of scientists do NOT agree on global warming.

There is no proof that the current warming is caused by the rise of greenhouse gases from human activity. Ice core records from the past 650,000 years show that temperature increases have preceded—not resulted from—increases in CO2 by hundreds of years, suggesting that the warming of the oceans is an important source of the rise in atmospheric CO2.

Despite the media and Al Gore’s ad nauseum contention that there is actually a scientific consensus for the existence of anthropogenic global warming, the facts speak otherwise.

There are really two elements to the global warming crowd. On the one hand we have the scientists, on the other hand the political activists. The scientists know that as soon as they acknowledge the role of increase solar activity in global warming their research funds will dry up. Much of these research funds are tied to the idea that global warming is caused by the actions of man. The political activists behind the man-made global warming idea have a goal … and that goal is to slow the evil machinery of free enterprise. They are, at their core, anti-capitalists; newbie socialists and remnants of the old world-wide communist movement.

  • 7 I am convinced // Feb 29, 2008 at 11:06 am

The majority of climate scientists agree that global warming is primarily caused by human activities such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation.

Compare the money made by oil companies or companies like Monsanto, and compare it with the funds given to the scientific research. Who has the power in our world? Do you think Scientifics have? I think the Economists and the Media are the one who are the most powerful. We don’t have to be expert to understand that Exxon and Monsanto are much more powerful than any government in this world. It seems to me very understandable that they try to protect their interests.

History repeats itself, it’s a cycle. The powerful one wants to remain powerful… no matter the others … no matter the truth. But like Jesus said: “The First One Will Be The Last One” … and again and again…

I am convinced by the majority which says: HUMAN CAUSED THE GLOBAL WARMING.

Oh my heavens, you didn’t just use Wikipedia as a reference source, did you? And one of your previous references was YouTube? That right there says tons about your arguments.

“Compare the money made by oil companies or companies like Monsanto, and compare it with the funds given to the scientific research.” Oil companies and chemical companies are in business to sell a product for a profit. No funds are given for government-sponsored research, it’s taken out of the wallets of taxpayers. So I would HOPE that the private companies show higher profit.

There is no majority which say “humans caused global warming”. Such hysteria only comes from a very loud minority of anti-capitalists and neo-Socialists that simply want to cripple the US.

This is enough. I’m closing the comments to this entry because there will be no further intelligent debate.

Using Wikipedia as a reference source. Wow.
