McCain Lying?

January 30th, 2008 · No Comments

x John McCain gets a bit of a free ride from Lefties and Media. Check out McCain’s record of changing his position to whatever Republican belief will get him closer to the White House. He far closer to an Opportunist than he is a Statesman.

From that rascal Ann Coulter:

John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most “electable” Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn’t lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.

Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws.

I might lie too, if I had opposed the Bush tax cuts, a marriage amendment to the Constitution, waterboarding terrorists and drilling in Alaska.

And I might lie if I had called the ads of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth “dishonest and dishonorable.”

Ouch.

John McCain’s support from Republican moderates, Hispanics and Florida’s numerous older voters helped lift him to victory in Florida’s GOP presidential primary on Tuesday.

In a blow to Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, McCain led among people who said the economy was the country’s No. 1 issue, according to results of an exit poll conducted for The Associated Press.

Better than four in 10 moderates and liberals lined up behind McCain, twice the proportion backing both Romney and Rudy Giuliani. This should come as no surprise in that many Conservatives view McCain as a closet Liberal.

Rudy Giuliani, who bet his presidential hopes on Florida only to come in third, is rumored to be preparing to quit the race and endorse McCain. This could be the endorsement that keeps McCain in the lead to the White House.

No, I don’t feel good about the Presidential election this morning – and I vote on Super Tuesday. Are there no Statesmen left? Are there no real Conservatives left?
