From the Knoxville News Sentinel, via The War On Guns and Keep And Bear Arms:
Jessica Smith, academic scholarship student with dreams of becoming a veterinarian at the University of Tennessee, pulled her bright orange Volkswagen into the Lake Avenue Parking Garage after work at about 10:30 p.m. and began to walk toward the dormitories. But admitted drug addict Christopher Gann was on the prowl, and he decided he wanted Smith’s car.
As Smith walked toward her dorm, Gann attacked her with a brick, striking her once in the head.
Gann later told investigators he only wanted Smith’s car keys, but he was angered when Smith fought back, shoving him down concrete stairs between Terrace and Caledonia avenues.
Gann chased Smith and caught her on a landing. He dragged the screaming woman to a darkened area alongside the steps and repeatedly smashed her head with the brick.
This is a tragic story. What did the University have to say about it?
The school had no duty to protect student.
WTF?!
OK, so if they say the University has no duty to protect the student, then does the student have a right to protect themselves?
Specific prohibited activities include: 1. Possession of firearms, explosives, or other lethal materials on university property or during university activities.
WTF?!
OK, so if they say the University has no duty to protect the student, and that the student has no right to protect themselves, then who is responsible for the safety of all the students at the University of Tennessee?
…
.[the sound of crickets chirping].

If the academicians allowed CCW on campus then they would have to admit to the fact that their political agenda concerning the 2nd Amendment is fallacious. So they place their student population in jeopardy to perpetuate their agenda of disarmament.
And now one bright star is partially paralyzed on one side of her body, has loss of hearing in one ear, has steel plates in her head and is unable to organize her thoughts verbally or on paper. She now struggles with day-to-day activities, struggles just to get by.
Are you still walking around disarmed?
