Lanny Barnes Continues To Terrorize Georgia

October 21st, 2007 · No Comments

A terrible tragedy happened last year in a town close to me. 46-year-old Lanny Barnes ran down two women and three children in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant in Covington, GA. He didn’t know the people, he just pointed his car towards them, stepped on the accelerator, and ran them down as they were leaving a McDonald’s restaurant.

Witnesses said Barnes seemed to intentionally run his Honda Accord over the two sisters and their three children. The witnesses said Barnes pulled into a parking space of the McDonald’s. He struck another vehicle, backed out and pulled in again, hitting the victims who were on a sidewalk. Witnesses said they saw Barnes laughing behind the wheel.

The victims were:

* Anita King, 36, of North Carolina and 2-year-old daughter Avery Nicole King. Avery King died of her injuries.
* Stephanie Casola, 33, of Covington and her children, Jacob Paul, 4, and Isaac Raymond, 3.

This week this sub-human was sentenced to life in prison. He admitted running over the five in his car in a random act of blood-thirsty violence.

If this story ended here I would be happy. But now it seems like the taxpayers of Georgia are going to be Barnes next victims. You see, Lanny Barnes has leukemia. The courts have decided, in their ultimate wisdom, that while in prison for this ghastly crime, Lanny Barnes will undergo a taxpayer-funded bone marrow transplant soon.

That’s right – after proving himself to be one of the most contemptible persons in Georgia, after proving himself to be an absolute menace to civilized society, after being sent to prison for the rest of his miserable life, the taxpayers will now have to pay for him to have a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

I’m at a complete loss for words. This is a terrible slap in the face of both his poor victims and to the people of Georgia.

I have a much better solution! Place this vermin in shackles and let me take him deer hunting in the woods. We won’t be gone long. And bring along the ones responsible for this asinine decision.
