From the Manchester Evening News (UK):
SPIRALLING gun crime is blighting Greater Manchester with more than 3,000 firearms incidents in the last 15 months, the MEN can reveal today.
This startling figure equates to SEVEN gun-related incidents EVERY day.
And actual shootings, not including crimes where guns were not fired, increased nine per cent in the last 12 months alone, with 120 confirmed discharges.
But I thought it was illegal to own a gun in Manchester? Wasn’t removing all the guns supposed to make gun crime practically non-existent?
New York City also has a strong gun ban and also has a higher rate of crime than many other US cities … and some US states.

If you check with the Department of Justice you will find that of the top 50 most crime ridden cities in the US, New York is #49 on the list. I did find an intersting trend however. If you protract those 50 worst cities you will find that they have democrat mayors 4 times out of five. You will also find that you have to work your way more than half way through the list until you encounter the very first Republican mayor, and he is saddled with a democrat city council that can override his vetoes at will. Here’s my post covering the subject.
