BLOG NOTICE:
This blog has come under increased comment spam attacks over the last few weeks.
I’m using two different spam trapping systems, yet some was still getting through - which only encouraged the lowlife spam senders to triple their efforts.
So I’ve activated a third system to help combat this menace. Once this blog receives “X1″ number of spam comment attempts all comment submissions will be held in a moderation queue. If the continued spam attempts reach “X2″ then all comments are completely shut off until things cool down a bit - hopefully stopping the 500-800 comment spam attempts I’m getting daily.
I hate doing this. The next step would be to do one of those “word/character verification” thingies, but I didn’t want to do that just yet.
Or just turn off comments completely - again something I really don’t want to do.
So if you come here and try to post a comment and it doesn’t show up immediately - know that I’m not trying to stifle outside comments, but rather certain spam trapping systems have kicked in. The zippy graphic in my sidebar will tell you the current blog comment status.
