Paris Hilton Sues Website

From The Age:

Paris Hilton has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles demanding the closure of a website where visitors can pay to view nude photos and other items that formerly belonged to her.

Hilton’s suit says the website - www.parisexposed.com - which displays photos, home videos, diary entries and audiotapes of her conversations, as well as images of her passport, is “one of the most reprehensible invasions of privacy of a celebrity”.

The site includes topless pictures of 25-year-old Hilton on holiday and also shows her frolicking in a bath-tub.

In a declaration to the court, the “Simple Life” reality television star says the items were put into storage two years ago after she and her sister Nicky moved out of a house after it was burgled.

Hilton claimed the removal company was supposed to pay the storage fees and that she was “shocked and surprised” to learn that the amount had not been paid and that her belongings had been sold at a public auction.

ITEM 1: Why in the world would anyone store old photos of them self topless or frolicking in a bath tub? At what date in the future would you want to re-live those old memories of yourself in a bath tub? Do many of you out there have old photos of yourself nude in a bath tub that you keep in a box in the attic?

ITEM 2: How many people out there (either male or female … or undecided) have a desire to look at Paris Hinton nude? Sure, I can certainly understand wanting to see Jessica Alba nude, or watch Halle Berry take a bath … but Paris Hilton?

ITEM 3: Paris, I acknowledge that you have more money in one of your checking accounts than I will ever have myself, but I’ll pay you $1 if you will simply go away. Shut your mouth, step away from the cameras, and go away. And also take with you all the photographers that follow you everywhere and plaster the tabloids with your mug shots.
