Back on January 13th, 2006, according to Democracy Now, we learn that Iran threatened to halt snap inspections of its nuclear sites by the United Nations if its nuclear program is referred to the Security Council.
Senator John Kerry (D-MA) said, “Ultimately if we are not able to find any diplomatic resolution in the next weeks I don’t think we have any choice but to take it to the international community. I think Iran has made a very dangerous and a very silly decision and it is inviting confrontation not with the United States but with the global community that cares enormously about the control of nuclear weapons.” |
On January 28th, 2007, according to the Fars News Agency, we learn that, while addressing a world Economic Forum meeting in Davos Switzerland on Saturday, this same Senator John Kerry strongly rejected West’s demanded prerequisites for the resumption of nuclear talks with Iran.
“We should give up pessimism and pick up a realistic view,” he said. |
John Kerry’s entire political career has been nothing but no-shows in Congress and flip-flopping on every major issue affecting America, depending on which way the wind is blowing. One year he says something and the media fawn all over him, and the next year he completely contradicts himself and the media fawn all over him again without remembering what he said the first time.
Kerry opposes and has opposed all new nuclear power plants in the US, all the while screaming for alternative energy, but he’s willing to sit with and talk to an Iranian who wants to see the US destroyed and he says it’s OK for Iran to be building nuclear power plants.
He has been seeking approval from anyone for twenty years, so why should we expect him to stand by his word now? I guess he has to schmooze with our enemies since he has pretty much alienated himself from everyone here.
This guy seeks approval from foreigners and murderers yet he imagines himself above it all. Why? Kerry, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, never had to face the consequences of his decisions; the servants and the guards took care of all his messes for him. Yet this is the type of person that Democrats assure us is the “man of the people”.
Of course this is the same Commonwealth of Massachusetts that continues to re-elect the booze-hound womanizer Ted Kennedy again and again to represent them in the Senate.
