Female Genital Mutilation Has Come To America

Khalid Adem is charged with aggravated battery and cruelty to children for the clitoris circumcision that authorities say occurred sometime in 2001. Police have said that Adem used scissors to circumcise his 2-year-old daughter in their Duluth, GA apartment. The child’s mother didn’t discover it until more than a year later when a family doctor found the scars.
