Mir, who is the only journalist ever to interview both Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri, claims that he learned this information on a recent trip to Afghanistan last month.

Mir is currently performing duties in Geo TV as Bureau Chief of Islamabad and Editor Northern Region and is writing a biography of Osama bin Ladin as well as a weekly column in Daily Jang and The News.

Mir recently claimed - in an interview with independent online news source CanadianFreePress.com - that Al-Qaeda has acquired three so called “suitcase nukes” from Russia and have successfully smuggled them to Europe. Mr. Mir claims that they have possessed these weapons since long before the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington and that they were originally intended to be targeted against London, Paris and Los Angeles.

Mr. Mir also claims that Al-Qaeda has 23 sleeper agents inside the United States (minus the 19 who died carrying out the 9/11 attacks) and that these terrorists already have enough radioactive material for six “dirty bombs.”

• Hamir doesn’t claim Adnan Al-Shukri Jumaa smuggled nukes across the southern border, he uses the phrase “dangerous materials.”
• Reports that he was told that the terrorists working to carry out this attack are not using Muslim names, they are hiding behind Western sounding names and related documents, such as passports
• There is no timeframe for any attacks, inside U.S. or Afghanistan.
• Say’s that Osama has completed the “cycle of warnings.” Under Islamic law, the defender is given three warnings before being attacked. Says that Osama is trying to legitimize his actions with Islamic scholars who criticized him for 9/11.
• Doesn’t believe the terrorists in charge are bluffing.
• Says it’s an “open secret” that AQ is in Lebanon, and is allied with both Iran and Hezbollah. Says that Osama forged an alliance with Hezbollah when he was still in the Sudan. Says that Iran is providing arms and money to both AQ and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
