Cindy Sheehan, still holding on to her 15 minutes of fame, has announced that, beginning July 4, 2006, she is planning an “open-ended hunger strike” codenamed “Troops Home Fast“. This is her way of urging the Bush administration to bring troops home from Iraq.
The “Troops Home Fast,” Wilson said, means that she will abstain from food and drink, with the exception of water, as long as possible. “I don’t know how long I can fast,” she said, “but I’m making this an open-ended fast. I plan to take this as far as I’ve ever taken anything in my 58 years.” The fast, organized by Code Pinko and Sheehan’s Gold Star Dhimmis for Peace, will begin on Independence Day in Washington, D.C. In her statement Sheehan said she would move the fast to Crawford, Texas, where the president owns a ranch and often vacations. Gavriel reportedly quotes Saint Cindy: “Chief Terrorist Bush, do what I say, or else I’ll STARVE myself to death. Hello? Hello? Is this microphone on? Why isn’t he down here talking me out of it yet? I’m not kidding; I really mean it!” Joining with her are “notable” celebrities Willie Nelson, Danny Glover, and Dick Gregory - probably because each of them are out of work this summer and needed the free media.
