Huh?

Zarqawi had a 16-year-old wife.
Zarqawi had a 18-month-old son.
Zarqawi was 40 years old.

Wikipedia says:

Zarqawi is believed to have had two wives. Al-Zarqawi had married his second wife Israa, when she was 13 and she bore him a child when she was 15. Al Zarqawi along with his wife, Israa (then 16), and their son Abdul Rahman (then 18 months) were killed in the airstrike on June 7, 2006.

Israa was the daughter of Yassin Jarrad, a Palestinian Islamic militant, who is blamed for the killing in 2004 of Ayatollah Muhammad Baqr al-Hakim, the Iraqi Shia leader. Ahhh, terrorists do love to stick together, don’t they? You just knew Palestine had to be invloved in some way, didn’t you?

So in addition to assasinating diplomats, slaughtering civilians with car bombs, blowing up wedding parties, and personally cutting the heads off of helpless hostages, Zarqawi was also a statutory rapist or pedophile? That the Imans would allow this to occur says much about Islam.

Well, at least he waited 5 years longer than Mohammed. You do remember, don’t you, that the founder of Islam, Mohammed, married his last wife, Aisha, when he was in his 50′s and she was a whopping 6 years old – though he had the decency to wait for sex with her until she reached the advanced age of 9 years old.

In Islam if a girl has attained puberty, she is regarded as adult. She has an independent right to marry. If a girl married before puberty, her marriage will be invalid until her father approves of the Nikah (the contract or covenant between a bride and bridegroom).

Yes, I know that groups of fundamentalist Latter Day Saints, who really aren’t considered LDS at all by the mainstream LDS community, have been holing up in places in and around Utah, marrying teenage girls for years. Put the word “fundamentalist” in front of a religion and marrying children occurs more often than people think. This isn’t anything new.

In any case, in any religion, horny old men screwing underage girls (while beating them over the head with whatever they call their bilble) is repugnant.
