1. Shaun Kenney, spokesman for Republican U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, said someone stuffed an envelope full of dog feces through the mail slot in the door on May 31 and then sped away in a car. Kenney said most of the preprinted return address was blacked out, but staffers used the nine-digit ZIP code to trace it to Kathleen Ensz, vice chairwoman of a state Senate district committee for the county Democratic Party and Weld County Democratic volunteer.
Ensz told The Associated Press she left the envelope at Musgrave’s office. Asked what she meant by the act, she declined comment.
Greeley Police Sgt. Joe Tymkowych said Ensz had been cited for criminal use of a noxious substance, a class-three misdemeanor. She is due in court Aug. 10.
2. Ensz is a college professor. A professor emeritus. Ensz began teaching at the University of Northern Colorado in 1970 and earned her emeritus status in 2000, UNC spokeswoman Gloria Reynolds told the Denver Post.
Since she is no longer on staff, she doesn’t face sanctions from the university. Kathleen Y. Ensz, Ph.D, got her B.A. from Pomona College, her M.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, and her Ph.D. from Stanford University.
3. What did Ensz teach at UNC? French.

Did I get it right? Kathleen Ensz has got to be the Perfect Liberal Democrat. She is the Prototype of the Neo-Euro-Socialist Utopia Wet Dream. Could even the most angry right-wing nutjob have written a more fantastic story? And to top it off - this one is true!
