More On This Week’s Elections

Is California tired of being one of the most taxed states in the Republic?

Paul at Powerline reminds us of this strange tidbit coming out of this week’s elections in California.

The preschool education proposition, funded solely by a 1.7% tax on individual incomes above $400,000; $800,000 for couples, failed – 61% no and 39% yes. It only passed in the “progressive” counties of Alameda, San Francisco, and the border jumper county of Imperial.

The state bond to improve libraries also failed – 53% no and 47% yes. It only passed in the “progressive” Bay Area counties, Los Angeles, and (again) the border jumper county of Imperial.

And this is coming from “please tax me more” California! I’m not saying that California is becomming a Red State, but maybe it’s becomming less Blue.
