… And Then We Have This Cretin …

From The Smoking Gun:

Travis Frey is a 33-year-old man from Iowa. He is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife. He is also facing separate child pornography charges.

The Smoking Gun tells is that Mr. Frey drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document – a “Contract of Wifely Expectations” – that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey offered “Good Behavior Days,” or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to “get out of doing the things” he requested daily.

Prepare to be repulsed:

  • You will shave every third day, which includes underarms, chest, legs, and pubic area …
  • You will wear only thigh-highs and garters, and only thong panties …
  • When we are at home, and alone as a family, you will be naked within 20 minutes of the kids being in bed, and then sleep naked, unless instructed otherwise …
  • During “My Time” you will be subservient , and totally obedient …
  • You are do do everything that is requested or expected of you, if you do not you are considered noncompliant …
  • There are certain circumstances when you are to perform any and all requests immediately
  • I will select your sleepwear for you, and you will find it under your pillow. If there is none then you are expected to be naked …
  • Fellatio must last at least five minutes and may include climax …
  • On or before my birthday you will select and purchase a sex toy for yourself …
  • You are to pose for 20 photos per quarter on demand …

Frey’s wife never signed it. She turned it over to the police. Good for her!

Who is the biggest loser: this guy, or the woman what would sign it?

Why did she marry him? I don’t get it.

Well, when I saw the very first item, “You will shave every third day, which includes underarms, chest, legs, and pubic area … ,” my first question is why she had to shave her chest.

That, in itself, may explain everything else. :)

Looks like Travis Frey’s problems are mounting. Various news reports have noted that Council Bluffs law enforcement authorities have added 12 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after officers found illegal pictures on his computer while investigating the kidnapping complaint. Frey has pleaded not guilty to the kidnapping charge. Now out on bond, he faces trial March 14.

It should be noted that kidnapping is a class A Felony in the State of Iowa, and carries a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Add to this the fact that this case is now attracting worldwide media attention.

Yep, looks like Travis does have a few problems!

The “skirts can be no lower than… except when in church” part was especially funny I thought. At least he has a sense of propriety when it comes to God.

I sent it to my wife. After she knocked the hell out of me she told me, “No Honey, I don’t think so…” As if I didn’t get the hint when she whacked me with the frying pan :)

I’m late finding out about this whole thing (as you can see by the date of this post). I’m as outraged as the rest of you and think anyone who wants a contract like this with with a non-consenting adult should have horribly painful things done to his/her body before dying a lingering, excruciating death. That said… I’ve seen speculation that the husband was actually a church-going man who disapproved of his wife’s “cult religion” and that she (a) downloaded/printed the contract from a BDSM website and (b) downloaded the child porn so she could punish him. I don’t think I really believe any of the wife-framing-husband stuff, but I also think we need to keep in mind that we don’t know the whole story. Innocent until proven guilty?
