When you walk around in the mall, or the grocery store, or any number of places you will see women wearing a pink ribbon pin or a breast cancer awareness t-shirt. How many women do you see wearing a red dress pin or a heart awareness t-shirt?
When you talk with women you will hear many talking about taking part in a breast cancer walk/run. How many do you hear talking about taking part in a heart disease run/walk?
You hear several women celebrities on TV talking about breast cancer and stressing monthly self-checks. How many celebrities do you see on TV talking about heart disease and stressing cholesterol and blood pressure checks?
Sure, I understand breasts are important and are an icon of femininity. But what good are breasts when you heart isn’t beating?
