My rantings and ravings in this interesting world.

A Case Of Too Much Water Between The Ears

Ray Nagin is the mayor of New Orleans, Louisiana. Nagin is a Mayor of a major city, not some crackpot actor or singer. He is also a Democrat. And a loony Leftist. And a stark-raving Moonbat.

From Breitbart.com:

Mayor Ray Nagin suggested Monday that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and other storms were a sign that “God is mad at America” and at black communities, too, for tearing themselves apart with violence and political infighting.

“Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it’s destroyed and put stress on this country,” Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day.

“Surely he doesn’t approve of us being in Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also. We’re not taking care of ourselves.”

Nagin also promised that New Orleans will be a “chocolate” city again. Many of the city’s black neighborhoods were heavily damaged by Katrina.

“It’s time for us to come together. It’s time for us to rebuild New Orleans _ the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans,” the mayor said. “This city will be a majority African American city. It’s the way God wants it to be. You can’t have New Orleans no other way. It wouldn’t be New Orleans.”

It was not enough to make one questionable statement, “God is mad at America”. Oh no, he had to continue on a roll with the announcement that the city would again be mostly populated by people the same race as himself, making New Orleans a “chocolate New Orleans”.

And God is angry at America so he took out New Orleans? Does God have a bad aim? Maybe God -should- attack New Orleans seeing that it was already a trashy city run by ghetto thugs, with a corrupt city administration, and a police department that can be bought off with a $5 bag of crack.

If any major of any other race would have said, “Hurry back guys, I want to make our city populated with primarily our race,” can anyone imagine the media outcry? Imagine a white mayor saying that about a white city, or trying to create a white city. He’s all for allowing people of all colors to fund the rebuilding of New Orleans but only allowing people of one color to benefit – and that’s the hallmark character of a bigot.

Does the good Mayor also want a majority of the tourists to the Big Easy also be black? Are they going to start asking your race when you try to book a hotel room? What would he say if most of the whites started avoiding New Orleans? Oh then he’d be screaming racism, and the media would give him all the free air time he wanted (pigs that they are). And why doesn’t the media slam Nagin for these stupid comments at a time when they’ve gone out of their way to excoriate Pat Robertson for doing the same?

And what kind of mayor even cares what race the people are that he governs? Race should be of no concern. I thought we were supposed to be considering the character of a person above that of their skin color. And for this to have been said during a speech commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is the ultimate slap in his face. Where is the Liberal “we are one people” outrage?

But surely no one is surprised by any of this. This is just one more in a long line of hypocritical stances on the part of the usual suspects in the mainstream media, the Democratic party, and America’s “black leadership” – with that stance being never to criticize a black man (unless he happens to be a Conservative).

Nagin, as a public servant, surely has attended hours of sensitivity training, and learned about the diversity of the human race. Content of character, not color of skin, right Mr. Mayor?

Maybe Nagin is uncomfortable governing a city with people in it that are different looking from him. Are blacks “easier” to govern? Are they “more fun” to govern?

Or, as I believe, are they more “supple” to the wants and wishes and agenda of a leader that is of the same color since “he’s one of us”?

God Himself wants New Orleans to be majority black? That’s strange, because in all of my reading of the Bible I have never noticed Jesus doing anything to separate people according to race, or to designate a certain geo-political area to be primarily populated according to continental origin.

This bafoon has just Pat Robertson’ed himself in the national media. Oh he’s tried to backtrack:

“I apologize to any resident in this city that may have been offended. That was not my intention. If I could take anything back, I thought the Uptown comment was inappropriate. If any people are working hard to rebuild this city, it’s the people Uptown.”

Yeah, now he’s worried that white money might start leaving his city as fast as the refugees did. Black people are fine, but white money makes his city move.

“Unfortunately, everything I say today is scrutinized to the nth degree.”

Oh, no. Actually I’m looking at your statements at face value, dummy.

Hey Shamalama, what’s up with the misoriented reply box? It cuts off the first two or three letters.
Anyway, on the subject, Nagins is an idiot, at best. Love your picture of him in front of the buses. Thank god (for New Orleans) that he’ll be out of office eventually. It’s not like he can site his Katrina leadership as a reason to be reelected.

    Masquerade Anyone?

After being offline for, what, nearly two months and the Moonbat Masquerade is still getting submissions? Unbelievable.
This first entry just seems like a bunch of hot air if you ask me. Different River sends in a story by an associated press writer…
